There is no guaranteed upload speed for Xfinity, on average around 20mbps should be the average for most customers on the 1gig plan. Some people get as low as 5mbps all the way up to 200mbps. Comcast is not symmetrical internet like most fiber companies since Comcast is Fiber to the Curb and not to the home. The 200Mbps possibility is only on the 1gig plan the lower teirs do not have that possibility.

Also in theory Fiber is better but I tried it out and the reality for me at least was that it was often worse because packets get bounced around all over the place leading to way too much latency at times. I don't mean to shill for Xfinity of all companies but come on. For most this is a great deal if they can get it. Just use your own modem/router and don't rent anything from them/don't sign up for anything extra.
