Lol, so after the promotion expires so they can than say, sorry never ended up happening... Dont fall for it just cancel and open a new account.Nope, but all my locations already had comcast installed at one point in time or another. If you have never had comcast at the location than they might charge, but its the first I am hearing of it.
I see same $100 professional install fee for my location which CURRENTLY has Comcast although not 1 gb plan

Did anybody actually do this? I see $100 professional installation fee as a one time fee. Is it so? Anyway to bypass this? I have an account but plan on canceling and having roommate sign up.
If they don't actually need to physically come out then the $100 fee shouldn't be charged in my experience. At my condo if you are switching from WOW to xfinity (or the other way around) then they need to come out and basically move a cable from one jack to another

I just talked to a xfinity rep over the phone, they said they are working to make these deal available to existing customers and that I should call back in a month, ymmv
LOL, I think this is their standard line they give to get customers to hang up.

I tried to get in on some of their new customer promo's during the Winter Olympics and I got the same line verbatim. Ting is about to start laying fiber in my neighborhood and I'll be dropping Xfinity the moment it's available.

Edit: Xfinity seems to have caught onto this option. Probably disregard.

I've done these deals in the past as an existing customer and just did it again.

Browse plans as a new customer to your current address. Go through the steps needed until it gets to create your xfinity account.

At this point, there is a link for signing in with your current account login.

Login with your existing account and complete the purchase.

After you receive the new equipment and get it loaded, log into your account and cancel the other older account. Note to remember which is new and which is old.

I don't know if this will work again, but the past times I've done this I kept the same rewards tier for existing customers because it's the same account.

I got the 1Gbps deal in January with the Peacock subscription and I'm really happy with the change. Actual BW measured is 1.2 Gbps up/dw. The only downside when I switched from AT&T was a 7 ms increase in latency while playing CoD.
how did you get the peacock subscription to fully activate? I try on n off here n there and it never works correctly. I can see some channels but the premium content is locked - i have 1gbps.

That was some time ago, so not 100% sure is how I did it. I found the Peacock feature in the Xfinity App and logged in via this app link. I guess if you don't do that it won't be able to associate your Xfinity account with the Peacock account.Sorry for not being able to be more helpful.

could't see it for my account (Nor Cal).
I called in and they gave me this price for 1 year. It's significantly better than what I had! I think they are feeling some competition in the area finally.

So the "Service Address" at the "Let's review your order" screen doesn't actually match the address I select initially. It is a next door neighbor. I wonder if this is why it is trying to charge a $100 professional installation fee?

I just signed up for this plan 3 weeks ago, got tired of waiting for ATT to bring fiber to my area, all they offer now is their wireless Air service. When I signed up for it it was $70 per month and I was able to switch to this new $50 plan, same speed and in the confirmation page it says Disney/Hulu and Peacock premium is included for 3 years. I had read in the previous comments someone had said they had removed Disney/Hulu bundle from this plan so not sure why it still shows on mine. My cycle ends on the 26th so we'll see if it's still included after I get billed for the new lower amount. I'm ok if it gets removed, I was trying to get this spped for a good price and thought $70 was good enough now it's great at $50!

Biggest no for me on any of the so-called deals that rely on you using their equipment (you know, in order to not have the 1.2tb ceiling) is that you cannot spec out your own DNS servers on their equipment. That is.. you can't have a well functioning pi-hole unless you use your own router and deal with the limit. That said, I enjoy very close to ad-free service at my home on almost all devices of any kind. Very refreshing. Not to say I don't pay - YT Premium for the family and Spotify/Hulu. Cheers!
