Can the mobile line offer be deferred for few months, on mint prepaid now and want to wait for it to expire.

Does Xfinity give phone offers to existing accounts time to time?

I was an existing customer, $45 for 600 mb/s plan that just had promo expired this month.

I chatted into a Live Sales Agent and got the $50/mo 1 gig plan. They added the plan to my existing account and also said i was eligible for a $100 gift card after 90 days of service.
I've been with them for nearly 25 year. What did you say to get them to give you the $50 plan as an existing customer?

Did you try login to the existing account at the checkout step?

I want to understand if it's any better than creating a new account.
I logged into my existing account, yes.

Retention offers for current customers seems to be what what works best for us. I was paying $59 for Kinetic 1Gb, called and said I'm switching to spectrum and they have me two free months and $26 for 2 years. Just started year 2 and when my promotions are up I'm going to switch to the next provider offering incentives and the cycle starts again!! 😀

Of course, that works if you have an alternative. Sadly fiber has been built in the neighborhoods all around ours, but not in ours (yet). I guess most of the copper in our area is direct burial so it means Ziply takes much longer to deploy and get permits.

Hopefully 5 years buys them enough time to get the deployment out here. It's literally a quarter of a mile away at this point.

The Gig plan sounds good except for one concern.

Does anyone know what Peacock premium "steaming" service is? Sounds sorta questionable...

Let me reply myself since I did this.
1. activate new modem takes 5min-ish as the instruction said.
2. returned the modem of old account to the store and request cancel (maybe it would be closed anyway, but better explicitly request so. Receive a equipment return recipe, no account closure indication.
3. led to a remote meeting desk (yes, in a Xfinity store) and did the xfinity mobile line transfers. The CSR on the other end just asked my new and old home internet account, no need for Xfinity mobile account or line numbers.
4. check on app, all the lines have shown up on the new accat now and dissappearred from the old one. No indication the old account is closing.

BTW, per my first bill, the 5-year guaranteed discount started on the day when we placed online order, not up to the day when you activated the new account internet service. So no value to keep waiting.
Thank you! That's helpful to know the mobile lines can be transferred over without doing a port out/port in dance.

What was the circumstances for the remote meeting desk in-store? Did the CSR who accepted your modem return say you had to do that? Or was it on a separate visit

so to clarify. regarding the mobile line.

on old account, did u have the 1 year free line promotion?
on old account, did the 1 year free promo expire?
on old account, did u pay monthly for the line after the free promotion expired?

on new account, the mobile line as transferred?
on new account, did u get the 1 year free promotion again?

Left Xfinity Comcast for Sonic and never going back.

$59 (with taxes) is 10 Gbe. 10 Gbps internet. I nornally get 8.7 speeds all day long, Upstream and Downstream. Zero outages in 2.5 years.

Most people aren't using Comcast while having better. My only alternative is half the speed for over double the price. So $50 for symmetrical gigabit is what it is.

I just did this with a Hitron Coda56. I went through the activation process with this modem while it was active on my old account. It worked fine.

What didn't work fine was cancelling the old account. I mentioned upthread that I called them to cancel, which apparently never went through. I needed to go to Reddit and ask support there to do it. It took over an hour messaging them but it finally went through, and I see in the billing section of the account that it's in disconnected status.

FWIW I selected "create an additional account" at sign-up rather than select the moving option, since I figured the system wouldn't let me move to the same address.
Thanks for the data point. So creating an additional account at sign up would mean losing all existing platinum benefts and such.
I was hoping to use my existing username so that I can retain the Diamond/Platinum status.
So you selected the option: No, I want to create my own additional account at this address. And did NOT select the option: No, I am moving here as a new customer?

Anyone here have experiences with the free Mobile line from Xfinity? If having a new account and signing up for this deal, how difficult is to redeem the Free Mobile line for a year? Are there any hidden charges, such as activation fees and taxes etc? Thanks in advance.

What is the advantages of Diamond status? Been with diamond status for years, don't know how to take the advantages. Thanks!
