Didn't know they're making 3.5Ah for this. Why couldn't they just stay at 3Ah or jump straight to 4Ah?

Better off buying two 6ah batteries and get two 6 amp chargers for less than this crap of a deal!
The 6ah battery/6amp charger has been on sale for $60-$65 several times the last 6 months.

Sometimes having a smaller, lighter battery on your tool is more ideal for the job, so you are probably paying for some convenience here.

For real. Very rarely do I actually need more than 3.5ah on say an impact driver unless I'm working on a deck or a fence or something. Torque test channel has proved repeatedly the major reason to opt for larger batteries is to avoid voltage drop, but with these pouch cells voltage drop just isn't as much of an issue, even with smaller batteries.

The 1.7ah powerstack batteries are awesome, they make your 20v tools with 20v performance as lightweight as 12v tools.

Solid deal and really good performance to weight ratio battery for the average home DIY'r. These were $105 just a couple a months ago.
