These are pouch cells which are lighter, charge faster (on specific chargers) and can deliver more power (on specific tools) than conventional batteries. Most brand skipped pouch cell and went straight to tabless.
7ah/$112 isn't a bad deal for a new battery, honestly I'm tempted at this price point but lately I feel like I have more Dewalt batteries than I do Dewalt tools.
So either wait or dont. I mean the 1.7ah regularly sell for $80-90 for 2 so this at $112 if you can get a 10% off is a pretty solid of up just want them now.
