Here's the secret thing about ceramic coatings... they do nothing for UV protection. SiO2, the active ingredient in all ceramic coatings is invisible to UV radiation. Heck, they make UV transmitting lenses out of silicone dioxide.
IMO, this might protect against staining if you spill something on your dash but it will do nothing for the most common damage which is UV. I would stick with something like 303 protectant.

3 camels says this is the lowest historic price. Griot's Garage normally makes good products, but anybody try this and have any thoughts?

There's more than just SiO2 in this and one of these ingredients probably is for UV protection.

Yup, 303 all the way. Was made originally for airplanes. Have used this on every single one of my vehicles and leaves a nice satin finish and protects wonderfully in the NC sun.

Hit it with a brush torch or heat gun.

Kinda off topic but has anyone tried them on the rubber outsole of shoes? More for performance basketball shoes (indoor).

No! That is temporary and causes worse fading after all the oil brought to the surface evaporates.
