I just make sure to run the engine dry - empty the tank - I put Sta-bil is the 5gal gas jugs (there not cans any more) - But I found leaving any gas in the snow blower over summer or lawn mowers over winter can turn into a carburetor clean out job - not saying this will not work my experience says run them dry before storing

Like the above comment, simply run your equipment dry. Try not to have extra fuel that you need to store for extended periods of time and you can avoid these products which have been shown by various 3rd parties to not be very effective.

Thus is not for the gas. Take put the spark plug and shoot a few shots in the cylinder.

I'll just spray motor oil in the spark plug hole (or any other oil i have sitting around). After running the engine dry with Stabil FIRST.

Since only buying gasoline with no alcohol I haven't had to do any work on my yard equipment. Ethanol and carburetors don't play well with each other long term.
