Yeah the new Gen are forged, instead of the previous gens being cast
would you know which is better forged or cast?

They are very similar. Take two identical clubs, one cast and one forged. The ball will react the exact same from both clubs. Most people cannot tell the difference, but many claim there is a better feel to it. I am one of those who believe forged give a slightly softer feel. I dont know of any evidence that suggest forged clubs actually play better.
There is another positive to forged clubs, in that you can change the loft or lie a little easier and forged clubs dont have the tendency to go back to their factory angles as much as cast clubs do.
I dont have any forged clubs in my bag right now as I dont see it as that important. However, this is a pretty good deal and I might be carrying a few forged clubs in a week or two.

I don't know Jack about golf but I have a set of Costco Calloway's. Is this a good complement to what's in that set or is this redundant?

Also are these good value for noobies?

Had the prior gen and they were great! Caught a deal on a full set of Hi toes so I upgraded but really didn't need to. Solid wedge set

They need to minimize their logo for their golf clubs.

Thanks for sharing! Inflation has made these a lot more when I bought the Gen 2s a few years back.
These are forged, more expensive process then cast, but yeah inflation too.

Yes and yes; your set includes a sand wedge, so that would technically be redundant, but these would be a great compliment to that set

Get this set, and get rid of the Callaway Edge SW, the Edge SW is terrible for chipping, its bounce makes it next to impossible to make a chip shot.
This wedge set is perfect for all scenarios, sand shot, chip shots, flop shots, approach shots; in fact, I just use the SW in this set for all distance under 70 yards, lol.

Once again, us left handers are left out 😒
pros and cons. i've been checking weekly for the costco putter to be back in stock, you can buy it LH right now for less than the RH used to sell for, and has been out of stock for like... a year plus

I have the edge set. If I buy this Kirland set, do I need to buy another Pitching Wedge? Thanks

I don't think so and I didn't. If my understanding is correct, you generally use the pitching wedge that's apart of your irons set. They include a gap wedge (52 degree) which should gap the distances between the Kirkland 56 degree sand wedge and the Edge pitching wedge.
