Haven't looked at his unit before, despite the deals that have been popping up.
Did some digging and it looks like it's a non-bluetooth JBD BMS in there. Just throwing the info out there since non-bt units tend to be a deal breaker for some.

I am going to try to swap the lead acid batteries of my 54" Ryobi zero turn mower with this. The current lead acid batteries are rated at 65ah but I think a 50ah lithium can outperform them.

I routinely see 100a+ spikes in power on my ryobi conversion, don't know if that bms will like it

That's exactly what I'm trying to do as well. But I think this BMS isn't going to cut it. The ideal option is a 100ah battery with a 200a BMS.

Thank you for pointing this out and it is a very valid point. They are advertising this battery to have 200A peak point current (they don't mention for how long though), and I was hoping that this peak point current could probably help with moments that there is a surge in draw like when blade motors get engages or cutting a thick patch of grass. What do you think?

I agree that this is not ideal, but I feel this battery is cheap enough for me to try it out and see how it goes. Worst case I will use it for solar.

Yeah all the time. You pay what you pay at checkout and it arrives at your house. The tarrifs were crazy during the 165% debacle. They would show you the extra tax at checkout.

I guess if the bms is easily replaceable it is worth a try. If you get to thick wet grass, just take it easy. Another fyi for any other ryobi converters. My 100ah pack can cut 2, 1 acre house lots with 40% capacity left. My last cutting required 2.2kwh put back in the pack
