This is actually a somewhat unusual design, it's a MagSafe battery that *doesn't* charge wirelessly, it just sticks to the back of your phone and you plug it in using the cable.

My issue with MagSafe wireless power banks is they get quite hot when they're in your pocket (bad for battery health, bad for charging speed). Wired charging produces much less heat.

If this were USB-C I'd be interested. Lightning makes this useless for most people.

The print on the back of the unit itself says "USB-C Input & Output" so I am assuming it implies that you can charge the phone via the included USB-C cable as well.

I have a Mophie Magsafe Bank that works that way (charges the bank via USB-C connection and can be used to juice up a phone using the same port) and it does just fine.

The built usb wire does not fit if you have a phone case on. It will work if you don't use a phone case. This thing is going back to Walmart.
