Set in this case means one dumbbell. Good deal though, if it's quality

Walmart sent me a recall notice on these last month after my purchase at the end of last year. I had already returned them, however.

https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2026...act-Hazard

"Incidents/Injuries:
There have been more than 115 reports of weight plates dislodging during use, with at least six injuries, including broken toes, bruises, contusions and lacerations."

"Sold At:
Walmart stores nationwide and online at Walmart.com from January 2024 through November 2024 for about $100."

I bought them earlier this year and got the recall notice as well. It turns out only certain serial numbers were affected, mine not being included. I haven't had any issues with mine. They work fine and are a bit bulky. There are a lot of plastic components. I haven't used any other adjustable dumbbells, so not sure how they compare in quality. I do like that it is relatively easy to change weights.

These compare well to others. All adjustable are bulky.

Wow. Did they do full refund on return?

Bought the set of two and have been using it for about a year now. If you get a decent bench then you can do a lot at home, I really only go to the gym for lower body.

Thank you!

My s/n fell in this group for the pair I purchased.
I'd already experienced a plate falling off during use and just wrote it off as the quality discount we encounter when buying discount items.

I've submitted for replacement because of your post

I believe this is just for a single dumbbell, correct?
