This compact Ryobi clamp fan stands out for stroller, chair, car, and other grab and go cooling, with the clamp making it easy to aim airflow where needed. It is praised for long runtime on 4Ah batteries, daily real world use, and handy battery swapping when one pack dies. The smaller 18V format is favored over the heavier 40V version for portability, though it moves less air. A few units have shown bearing noise, clicking, or grinding over time, so long term reliability can vary.
Common Questions (4)
It can hold up well for long-term daily use, with one unit still going strong after 1.5 years and another after about 2 years. A few units have developed bearing noise, clicking, or rubbing/grinding sounds after months of use, and one replacement was handled easily through warranty.
Yes, it clamps securely to a baby stroller and is a popular fit for short outings because the small body is easy to carry. The clamp also lets you swap in another Ryobi battery if one dies, so you do not have to wait for a recharge.
The 40V fan moves more air and lasts longer, but it is heavier with the battery attached. The 18V clamp fan is the portability pick for strollers, cars, sports, and short trips, while the 40V model is better suited to camping or emergency cooling.
Runtime depends heavily on battery size: a 4Ah pack can last all day and night, while a 6Ah runtime listing was criticized as unrealistic for most buyers who will use 2Ah or 4Ah packs. A 4Ah battery is repeatedly described as lasting a long time in real use.

This little fan is sometimes on dto for 15 as well and (hate to be that guy) 20 was basically retail a year or 2 ago.
Its small form factor is the selling point as it moves nowhere near as much air but it's small enough to throw in a shoulder bag or carry - Sports, strollers, cars, etc. The bigger one is more like camping, dugouts, beaches, picnics, etc. You're not taking that big one on a short trip nor carrying in your hand to cool yourself off.
