Kellogg's CEO says poor families should consider "cereal for dinner". Jokes on him, that was my life style in my 20s, he is late to the party, lol. my childhood the Frosted flakes box was 1.39 if we follow inflation it should be 4.60 now, but somehow it is 6.99 thanks to greed.

Anyone notice the texture of Frosted Flakes changed? It seems much more crunchy than I remember it. But then again, I'm not a serial cereal eater! Big Grin

No one is making anyone buy it. Just because the government says inflation one year is a certain percentage doesn't mean everything costs that percentage more every year. Some things become more expensive and some less, depends on supply and demand, and government regulation more often than not. Also, the CPI specifically excludes food and energy claiming they are too volatile to include, so it wouldn't apply to cereal anyway, even though it's not really food, generally speaking. This is just candy in a box.
