Which should you choose?Choose the HX7131/03 if you want an effective, straightforward brush that gets the job done without extra bells and whistles. It offers the essential pressure sensor and multi-intensity controls you need for healthy teeth and gums.Choose the 6000 Series if you want a visual pressure warning light and would benefit from extra, specialized brushing modes (such as a polishing/whitening mode)
The Philips Sonicare HX7131/03 (commonly sold as part of the 5000 or 5700 series) is an excellent mid-tier option for a targeted clean. The 6000 Series serves as a slightly more premium step-up line with advanced brushing modes and visual indicators. Both models deliver 62,000 brush movements per minute and offer the same core Sonicare cleaning experience. The main differences lie in their specific features and attachments.Head-to-Head ComparisonFeaturePhilips Sonicare HX7131/03 (5700 Series)Philips Sonicare 6000 SeriesBrushing Modes2 Modes: Clean (everyday), Gum Health (massages gums)Up to 3 Modes: Clean, White (or Deep Clean), Gum CareIntensity Settings3 Intensities (Low, Medium, High)3 Intensities (Low, Medium, High)Pressure SensorAlerts via pulsing sound & handle vibrationAlerts with pulsing vibration + visible illuminated light ringBrushSync TechnologyYes (tracks brush head wear and prompts replacement)Yes (tracks brush head wear and pairs with smart brush heads)Battery LifeUp to 21 daysUp to 21 days
I switched to oral b and it's much better for me. This is a good price though
I would like white mode, pressure warning , if possible. Would that put me in 6100 or ? I don't care, I just want someone to tell me which one to buy because I've never used one b4..
