The PS5 is the same price, it's not just Microsoft that raised prices, and allegedly MS is losing "hundreds" on each console due to the RAM shortage, although, I'm not sure I buy that personally.

For a $500 gaming pc it took about 18 months by renting out 16hr everyday. If you buy 5090 or even higher gpu, return will be much faster. But risk will be much higher too.

I really dislike comments like these.

Computer complements have double or even tripled in price. Microsoft has stated this is affecting not just Xbox but their entire lineup. Both Sony and Microsoft have also raised their prices. The Steam Deck just went up $300 as well.

Rampant inflation, tariffs causing foreign materials to cost significantly more, a war that caused shipping to fly through the roof, and lack of regulation of AI. These affect everyday prices.
