Is this the new version (seems less likely but super slick if it is) or the old version (more likely) still good deal just know there is an updated/newer model coming (unsure if it's actually out yet).

Great price, I've been watching this for over a year. I bought a few days ago when it hit $499 with price match at Home Depot (I had a gift card to spend). Just did live chat to get a price adjustment/refund for the difference. Painless.

Not sure the new one would have 425 reviews already. Holding out for that one or this one to get cheaper, HD had it at $380 for a day a few weeks ago

I've got the 10" version of this. Very nice saw. I think my only complaint is the fact that the grip/trigger is pretty chunky, even with average/bigger sized hands.. and I suppose maybe the fact that it doesn't come with a cut line illuminator - that would be nice.

Really torn. I've wanted this saw for a long time and have a need for it this month - but the new model releasing new month and rumored to cost ~$600 has me tempted to wait. Or maybe it's junk and I'd be better off sticking with what isn't broken...
