Now made in Thailand and not as good as the US tapes that earned Fatmax it's reputation.

I think this gets overblown more than what it is.Sure we all want stuff made in America, but these ones made in Thailand are still great tape measures. I really think people just perceive them as not being just as good because they aren't made in USA anymore.

And, Home Depot still does returns on them when they break. I just found one at work someone had tossed out. Picked it up and returned it for a new one. I have a bunch of new ones in my garage.
