How is this even a deal at all? $599 is the normal price for 16GB memory and 256 GB SSD. $799 is for the unit with 16GB memory and 512GB SSD. Therefore, there is no discount at all.

This is considered a "deal" because you can't regularly find this model anymore. Apple has essentially discontinued this model on their own website (due to RAM demand) and most retailers have been sold out for months, resulting in crazy scalping on resale sites. To just to be able to find one (especially at retail) is considered a steal right now (as even more this "deal" is already showing as unavailable)
