This is a very good saw. At this price, it competes with the Hercules corded model. The Hercules has an LED shadow cut line which this dewalt does not have. The dewalt has better resale and a better warranty term.

Good deal, you can easily modify and add an LED to essentially make it the higher model.

I think that's the step-up model 780 for $499 right now on Amazon; this model, the 779, is currently $399 on Amazon. Regardless, this is a good deal for the 779.
