I bought a 4080 laptop a couple of years ago because it was a big step up from the mobile 4070. I'm not sure if the 5080 has the same game to the %070 (and Ti). Either way, a 5080 laptop has barely been below $2000 even before the RAMpocalypse so this is a really good price and I suspect it's much better than the 5070 versions.

Do hp omen laptops like this have long term issues with failing, hardware failures, cooling issues? Etc?

Always hesitant to buy hp because my impression has been they have a higher rate of issues.

My order was placed at 2:30 pm eastern. They have not cancelled it yet. I have never ordered a marketplace order from Best Buy.. hope it works out.
