The some of the noticeable differences are:
iPhone 12 starts with 64GB storage, while iPhone 13 has a minimum 128GB.
iPhone 12 battery size 2815 mAh battery), while iPhone 13 is 3227 mAh.
iPhone 13 reaches 800 nits max outdoor brightness, compared to 625 nits on the iPhone 12.
iPhone 13 faster processor, therefore will get more software & security updates.
iPhone 13 has a larger main wide camera sensor to pull in more light than iPhone 12.

Yes, I expected that if you paid for a whole year of data, this should be unlocked on day one as well. Like what is the point of making us wait at this point?

Why are some concerned about unlocking a phone that won't get any updates during/after the year of usage. It's really a good disposable iphone(even at 64gb) with a very good plan for a very good price..that's all!

No. The 365 plan listed is sufficient to satisfy the unlocking policy. If you want to be safe, sign up for the rewards program using a referral code (can't post these here) and you should get enough points to earn another month of service. However, I guess it was messed up for July. They were saying "bonus 250 points" (assuming on top of standard 1500), but we're giving 250 points TOTAL for a referral. I don't know if they've fixed this for August.

Goes for a bit more (~$25) on the used market & this is new. Leans towards a niche buy though since it's an ancient phone & 64GB. Child & Elderly would be a nice fit.

Samsung gives you $50 as a trade in currently so don't expect much after the year is up.

Amazon gives you $405 when you buy a z fold 8 or ultra. Apple gives $125 GC.

as someone else mentioned, iphone 12 is getting IOS 27 when it comes out this fall.

Personally I would guess it will not get IOS 28 (which will likely be next fall). but it's not completely out of the realm of possibility. Apple surprisingly included iPhone 11 in the IOS 27 release, that is a bit promising as a kind of "precedent".

On the other hand, IOS 28 is rumored to be quite bulky and a major overhaul.

In similar tracfone deals for Moto G Power 2024, it's stated that only one month of service is needed and then phone can be put in drawer for remaining 11 months and we can request unlock after total one year. Why does this thread indicate 1 year of paid service is required? Is it because it's an iphone?
