Use the existing phone and text TRANSFER to 611611, it will confirm and ask for new phone IMEI, once complete check balances on account. After about 10-15 minutes, do the same on the new phone via text and it will move back to the original phone with combined balances. Just did it yesterday.

When activating the phone, select that you want to transfer your existing number. The minutes/texts/data/service time in the bundle will be added to the existing balance when the service is transferred to the new phone. Wait a day, and repeat with the second phone. If you want to go back to your original phone, then wait another day, and reactivate that phone.

The advice of energyx was right on....TRANSFER works beautifully.
I have always used the 'Activate with existing number' option on the website in the past. However, I still ran into trouble once when I lost my entire balance. Tracfone support was not helpful at all; some representatives were rude, and they offered conflicting answers. Long story short, I never got my minutes back, and my BBB claim was not resolved. In the end, I transferred my service to US Mobile. My other lines are still on Tracfone, but I will transfer those lines whenever something goes wrong in the future. It isn't worth the time when something goes wrong, and there's no guarantee what will always work.

If a phone was on tracfone before, you can use the sim to transfer harvested mins. to it, but if its a phone that has never seen tracfone, I'd get their sim kit to transfer to the phone, people don't have good luck trying to move a SIM card from one tracfone to another.

To add another data point: both of my phones received this week had plans loaded on them. I made the mistake of starting activation on the first one without choosing the number transfer option, thinking I could exit out after seeing if it indeed had a plan. Nope. It got assigned a new number. My old number didn't have much time/data left and was only used as a backup, so not a huge issue for me.

i don't intend to use these phones, just getting them set up to activate and then transfer back to my old phone...but holy crap these are bad phones.
i honestly can't remember ever using a phone that is so slow to respond. even pushing the power button takes a second or two before the screen turns on, i keep turning it off because it repush the button thinking it wasn't registering. yikes.

A0n < A1n < A2n < A3n < A5n in the A series of Samsungs.
And the A03 was released in late 2021 or early 2022.

You should be able to. Just leave a gap of at least 1 day between each switch. I added two years using the 50 dollar moto g power and of these. Saving the other one to activate as a new lone.
