These things are gonna hit like 15 bucks at my local home Depot. Half the clearance section is these grinders. X-lock is like ebola lol.

Great price and within 30 days of when I got the last deal at $89 so I'm getting a price adjustment from a chat agent. Thanks for posting!

I really like the grinder and x-lock. I agree they're probably pushing these out because x-lock...promoting their standard and hopefully not dumping it! I'm not going through a ton of discs so the trade-off for cost on those vs convenience is worth it to me. It would be nice if it was variable speed. And to those wondering about the switch, it is spring loaded and doesn't lock on by default but it can happen unintentionally.

Xlock is absolutely worth the extra $$ for the discs. They're as convenient as popping a battery in/out of a tool. Whenever I needed to purchase more, there was always a sale or deal going on to being similar priced as the old school design. This price has me tempted to buy a 2nd to sit in the 'help a friend's bag

wow, LOL i got one for $24 at a local tractor supply and not complaining. this is Makita and cordless, the X-lock attachments going to cost you more unless you get the adapter for the cheaper discs. this is about the only down side is the disc price.
.
but for home owners that don't use it much, then disc price should not be an issue. tradesman like this up on a ladder using just one tool and changing disks. i like mine, but finding one for 24 bucks prolly not gonna happen too soon.
.
Makita is playing a marketing game, get their X-lock tool out there and sell disks. works for me if you need a cordless grinder.

yes a second grinder would be great, but needs to be variable speed if they make that. i got mine very cheap, and since it was Makita, then no problem with quality; it will be Pro quality from any blue box. Makita or any pro brand tool is always 'buy once and cry once', although i do use Ryobi and cry even less. YMMV
