Edit 8/27/2026, Looks like trade-in deal is MOSTLY DEAD. On 8/21 it was revised to no longer accept broken devices, and on 8/27 modified so that older devices only get a $450 credit instead of $900.

Original post: Existing T-Mobile customers can get up to a $900 trade in value on Google Pixel 11 phones. The trade in can include some lower end phones, and works on older calling plans (including Go5G and ONE, but not simple choice)

The correct rebate only showed when I was logged into my T-mobile account. It says it's for "Essentials and select legacy plans". My old T-Mobile ONE plan worked. (edit: others have reported Simple Choice plans don't work, only a $250 rebate)

For a base Google Pixel 11 this would make it basically free. For higher end models it's a $900 discount.

Interestingly, the plan says the credits are split out over 36 months, but the checkout and my actual order confirmation show it's only spread over 24 months.

NO It's not just that people are whining, or disgruntled, customers were promised a price for life, period and then to have the wool pulled from underneath them is a insult. Wait until the next round of how can we make money of legacy customers comes in and Tmobile decides all those customers who have FREE lines must start paying for them at least $20 per line ( and they'll disguise it as technology upgrade and say don't wine about it's cheaper than paying $50 per line per average) and your bill goes from $112 to $172 and see how you feel about them then.

NOPE, they ended that loophole 3rd quarter last year. Now if you pay off your phone early there are NO more credits to your bill, So taking any phone offers effectively locks you in to however long your device payments are essentially making it a contract for 24 or 36 mths.

Yes, everyone is being moved. They're doing it in phases and the sad part is you don't know if they'll move you to a experience plan or essential plan.
From what I'm seeing now, a lot of customers who have Free lines that were on one plans are being moved to essential, And those who don't are being moved to experience plans.

But again no rhyme or reason. It's just whatever they deem necessary to move you to.

I'm on Go56 Plus, it's offering me $650 for old broken iPhone 3GS from the junk drawer. Not as good as the 800 I got for another even more broken 3gs when they ran this deal on pixel 10. Still pretty good for a worthless phone though. I get the same 650 offer on pixel 11 and pixel 11 pro

You really can't trust the website. When I first did it on the website it gave me $900 off. Then it didn't work when I tried it at a later time. The T-Life app still work though. But on the website if you continue (assuming you have the offer in the first place) the correct promo discount of $900 off will show up at the cart/checkout stage

Also, you might get lucky and your phone will unlocked after 6 months like my z flip 7. Smilie I went to settings and clicked permanent unlock and bam it's good. Lol
