This Ryobi 18V clamp fan stands out as a compact, versatile fan that moves a surprising amount of air for its size. It works well for strollers, camping chairs, tents, car seats, mower handles, and quick DIY jobs, and the battery life is repeatedly described as excellent, with 4Ah packs lasting many hours and even overnight use on low. The main tradeoff is that the battery adds some weight and the fan can be a little louder than expected. A handy small fan when portability and runtime matter.

Common Questions (3)

  • Yes. It moves a lot of air for an 18V fan and is used on strollers, car seats, camping chairs, tents, and even for cooling food. The clamp design and good range of motion make it practical for those setups.

  • Runtime can be very long on low: reports include about 7-8 hours with only one battery bar used, and another camping use around 22 hours with plenty of charge left. It also reportedly lasts 4-5 nights in a tent on low, depending on settings and conditions.

  • The $19.97 price has been seen as a common sale price, and it has reportedly stayed on sale for about two months. Stock can be spotty, but changing stores or choosing delivery has shown a lower price and availability in some cases.

This thing shockingly moves a lot of air for a 18v. I was between this and the 40v and glad I got this instead. It runs forever on the 4ah battery. I used it on our stroller, car seat, cooling down food for the kids, etc.

Every time I see these I have to keep myself from buying more, that's how good these are. I used one of these on low for 7-8 hours with a 4ah battery and the battery went down just one bar. Maybe it was on the verge of going down another bar, I have no idea. But I would have been happy to get the 8 hours even using the fully battery.

It's showed $25 for me in Southern CA. However, during checkout it was $20.

Just took one camping with 4Ah battery, probably ran it for maybe 22 hours on low and still had plenty of juice left. It is a little louder than you'd expect. Especially with the battery it does have a bit of weight to it, which can make clamping to a camp chair a bit awkward, but the fan has a good range of motion to adjust
