Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
Yup. Pretty normal price and surprisingly it's not lower when is off season.
Once in a while a new real Slick Deal comes down the pipe, but lately it's been a lot of staff-generated regurgitated regular price or multiple repeats of "special buy" or everyday price stuff, or Amazon "% off". I like SD, but I really miss the old SD.

You're not kidding about it being a common sale. But it does seem to be popular when it's posted, if staff waited for a lower price they'd probably be waiting a long time.

There is at least a dozens if not more FP post on this fan at $20 through out this and last year. It's no new price when it's sitting at $20 again today. That's normal price. One post was from DTO - refurb for $16.25 shipped. But that didn't last.
So how it's every month this gets posted as FP deal at $20? If it's not lowered ever, then it's not a deal.
I walked into HD yesterday and it is listed $19.99 normal price.

Thanks for your repIy. I fully understand and can appreciate the fact that commissions on sales are what pays the bills and keeps the lights on over there at SD HQ, so the listings have to continue as long as there is any degree of traction on them.
But perhaps if you had a category for "good deals" where items like this one can be posted and re-posted to keep them bumped and seen, and then keep the "Hot Deals" category for actual smokin' Hot Deals. Maybe there is such a thing and a long-time dinosaur like me has missed it, I dunno. The Popular Deals category has always seemed to be reserved for upcoming promoted or frequently viewed deals, not for recurring listings.
Just some thoughts in the interest of trying to help.
BTW I really like the kitty. Looks almost like ours.

I can see how you'd get sick of seeing it, and that some way to filter it out would be really useful. The trend has kind of been for everything to get mixed into Hot Deals since people except a simplified app these days, but they are working on more personalization options that could hopefully include something like that.

I think this deal gets posted a lot because it makes Frontpage a lot. Each time it's posted, it seems new people find and appreciate the deal. That said, I'm not sure how much longer this fan will be available because my area has < 20 available for shipping now (YMMV).
