I bought this and it's probably going back. 6 total open end wrenches that DONT include 10 mm or 9/16. But it does have, for example, 4 renditions of a #20 torx. I can't speak to the quality of the tools; I haven't used them because they're going back. Just a poor assortment. And, PS, I bought this with a $20 off a hundred Amex deal, so I paid $80. Still not worth it.

I bought this but haven't opened it yet. I am deliberating if I should return this and get the craftsman $99 one instead. Any ideas which one is better, anyone?

Is this overkill for a toolset to take on long backwoods camping trips?

If you're buying this for the tiny assortment of wrenches, you've missed the plot. Be a man and get a full set of good wrenches, as well as this socket and but set. These are a phenomenal value, especially at your $80 cost...

Been using 3 sets for over 3 years. I've had ONE torx but get bent and my local Lowe's opened up a small set to give me the replacement.

Easy.

I was between this and the hypertough wal mart simular set.

For a casual DIYer as myself, I got the hypertough as it seemed to have more useful tools. Has been great working on my cars and general house crap.

For what it's worth I had a smaller Kobalt set for 10+ years prior to this, but lost a number of important pieces.

I wouldn't. I'd get a much smaller set that has the critical pieces.

I actually have one I keep in my car at all times.

Does the hyper tough let you exchange broken tools in store, no questions asked? Because the much higher quality Kobalt set does...

Craftsman has become crappy in the last 10 years. The ratchets are FAR better on the Kobalt set. I have 3 of these. 2 are this exact set and 1 is very similar. Theyve been great. Use em all the time.

You could have saved yourself a lot of trouble by reading the contents list before buying it.
