What are thoughts on this vs the craftsman set that is back to $99 and the husky set that is $99. This one looks better. Had planned to get the craftsman set but now debating them all again. Original prices are all bs.

Just bought the Craftsman set a couple weeks ago. Kobalt open/closed wrenches appear shorter (great for tight spots, but less leverage) and fewer options compared to Craftsman. Also missing a few metric socket sizes compared to Craftsman (learned that from YTube). I shop Lowe's all the time and have some of their private label stuff, but I'm happier with this Craftsman.

I want a set like this but I'm always losing a few pieces and it ruins the kit

I bought a similar Vevor set for about the same price and it's been great. Just another option. Not sure how the sets compare.

For anyone weighing this against the Craftsman and Husky sets: this one lists three 90-tooth ratchets, over a hundred SAE and metric 6 and 12 point sockets, and stamped size callouts on the sockets and wrenches, so compare those side by side.

This set is pretty bad. Not the tools themselves, but the hundreds of little screwdriver bits that they throw in to make the number of tools sound big. You know, the little screwdriver bits that you already have a thousand of.

But wrenches? Nah, you get only six 🤦 ♂️

Kobalt is about on par with the newer non-china craftsman in quality but look how. Far apart. The sockets in the. Lower Drawer. Are. On. This. Set…. If you lose a socket just order a single off Amazon. Titan, sunnex or even kt pro are all fine around $6 a socket. If it's a size you want something nicer cuz u use it all the time then you can get a single real country produced socket from koken, proto, williams/snap-on etc. to replace the single.
