Is Five Guys really that good?

A Five Guys burger joint just opened today in my area....the first in CA, I believe. I'm dying to go check it out. Maybe this weekend. Is all the hype justified?

I'm kinda torn on Fudruckers too....I love the fact they have nacho cheese
I swear, they just take their regular fries, and dump a bunch of crap cajun seasoning on it. I'm like... seriously, that's it? Those are your "cajun" fries?
but all of these places have steak fries

Their chicken burgers are so good.
The freckled lemonade is sooo good and it's free refills! The pizza is also good...though it's only for kids...so don't ask me how I know

My sister went to GA Tech and said the only thing worth getting at the Varsity are the orange freezes. Otherwise, it's grease city.

Maybe the store near you just sucks at cooking. The one we have here is unbelievable. I love it, but don't go there too often anymore because it's too fattening.
I think their fries blow other places away, because first of all they are fresh cut that day. Most other places aren't even real cut potatoes, they are a potato paste that comes out of a tube. Weird and gross info..

Yeah, see, we have Good Times out here, and their fries are fresh cut every day, and IMO, a whole helluva lot better. And their burgers are better, too.

We got a Sonic here and everyone, including me was so excited....what a big let down it was...I think just different places make the food different or something.
My burgers from Five Guys have never been the way you described, so idk. And I get them with grilled onions and everything else, but never had a soggy bun like that.
My stores fries are awesome too.. I'm guessing it's just the locations/stores..

then again it took me a long time to even find that second pic, I couldnt find too many pics of burgers I wouldnt eat at five guys..
Now I want Five Guys, but we are baking a Chicken Pie tonight..
