was bright and sunny and then just like that in 3 mins it got super dark, high winds, thunder, lightning. it is pouring in sheets with loud thunder.
but oh it smells so beautiful! and with a cool breeze. I LOVE the smell of summer rain.

I HATE the new system. HATE IT! and it looks so cluttered with stupid doodads and social networking crap and tons of brightly colored patterned skins.
great for a 12 year old, but if you have those accounts for your important emails (I do), the last thing I want is neon pink circles.
I vaguely recall her saying she's not back till the end of august or so... till the kids have to get back to school?

I am loving it that my ST and Fresh Grocery Ts are now carrying the 64oz. shelf stable Rice Dream!! It's only $0.50 more than the 1/4 gallon size! Now bring on some new coupons
So now that we feel comfortable w/ the renter of our house in Michigan, we have been looking for a new home. We viewed 3 yesterday and 3 today and actually fell in love with one. Hopefully it works out

We have tuns of wasps in our yard this year. DH has been spraying but still to many. DD stepped on one in the grass & got stung. So weird they all hover around in the shade & crawl down in the grass. I guess maybe not it is cooler in the shade.
We are planning on moving in a few months!!! Maybe a little longer but we are outta here!
What really irritates me, is that I don't remember ever having this much trouble with metal marks before. Way back when... 25 years ago when we redid a kitchen (different house) I put in an extra deep, single basin sink. It was off white rather than white, but still...
Another house had the really old double basin with the drain boards on each side. Man, I loved those drain boards. No metal mark problems.
This is essentially the same sink -- single basin, extra deep only in white. I swear it has something to do with how they are finishing them. Everything is made cheaper anymore. I swear a pan or cookies sheet just has to look at the sink and it leaves a mark.
We seem to have an abundance of Cicada Killer Wasps. I suppose I could try to catch a few and send to you. They're kind of creepy looking though.
But they are sooooooooo good.

ita that everything is cheaper quality nowadays. nothing is made to last anymore. everything is disposable or they expect you to upgrade every 6 months to 3yrs, depending on the item.
i have metal marks around my bathtub drain b/c i used a metal mesh sink strainer upside down as a hair catcher b/c i thought the drain plug was taller than the usual hair strainers and they don't really come out. about 6 months ago, i saw my sil had a new one from bb&b that was more flexible and dome shaped so i was pretty sure it would fit. (sil had it but somebody took it off the bathtub and put it away?? so the tub was very slow draining until her friend used a wire coat hanger to fish out the hair clog. useless bil used a plunger which of course didn't do anything. i was going to fix the towel rack that was pulling off the wall but found out bil had the brilliant idea of fixing it earlier by gluing it to the wall. but that only started ripping the wallpaper it was actually glued to. so i couldn't just put in some wall anchors w/o damaging the wallpaper. have to cut it off the wallpaper next time i go. )
i saw a cicada killer once killing a cicada. omg, they are huge and scary!

Had a nice trip to a Super Target yesterday. Just didn't have enough time to really shop. Sure wish we had one where I live.

Slowly getting things accomplished but dh is back to work today and then off all next week with scheduled vacay so hopefully we can get a lot more done then!
Anyway, just popping in to say hi, hope all is well with everybody!
