Not a buzz kill. shake head Its always a good reminder, although I don't know why people *wouldn't* tip the server. Ended up being a pleasant evening for us. My younger sister got there first and put our name in, so we didn't have to wait too long. BIG crowd there, for sure.

Headed off to bed now. So hard to get up in the winter, can't wait for earlier sunrise!

Yeah for free pancakes !!! Glad you have a quick and enjoyable pancako dinner , as my daughter would call them . Her awful spanish LOL

You'd be surprised, the girl next door is a server working her way through college , she says when people have discount q', they tip based on the amt after Q, here servers are only paid $2.34 an hour sooo those q's and their effect on tips kills her. If the same thinking is applied to free, I can't imagine. EEK!

It's snowing here. Supposed to get up to 6 inches, but I don't think we will get that much. Maybe we will get enough for me to try my new Torro Snow Shovel, that I picked up at Target. woot I will have to see if I can find an extension cord to use with it. I should probably read the instructions tonight. We have had barely any snow all winter, can't imagine it will last long.

Some of this might be that they are cheapies, but I think some people are just idiots. I yelled at my DH once because he tipped on the after Q amount. But it was just because he didn't realize it.

Yes, the cheapie factor defianetly plays into it, nore often though , like your husband they just aren't realising how little these people are paid an hour and or just aren't thinking about it, hence the gentle reminder Smilie

No free pancakes for us.. We went around 7:30 and it was a madhouse.. and full of young people.. I mean it looked like a teenage hangout. My DH said they looked like thugs laugh out loud they were all standing out front smoking and cursing.. He told us to sit in the car. After about 20 minutes of waiting, he decided it wasn't worth it. My youngest had her heart set on the pancakes though. So, we went to a chickfila restaurant and all ordered breakfast.. So, she got her pancakes afterall.. And she ate every bite. I had a yummy chicken omelet drool

Nice part was we ended up right across the street from target so I grabbed my free ibuprofen, mac n cheese, floss, etc before coming home Smilie

tn- i know nobody wanted to know the inventory of that battery (esp after it was a really cheap daily deal, really who cared anymore, even saphira), but i was trying to show her that she probably wasn't using the inventory checker correctly. but i didn't know what the problem was, that's why i was throwing it out there.

thankfully 2 people chimed in, and hopefully she figured out what the problem was.

All the snow melted overnight. Now it is raining. Kinda bummed that I don't get to try the new shovel. But it looks really crappy out there, so I am glad I don't have to bundle up and go out there.
