wellllll hellllllllllllloo there TCC peeps!!!!!!!

it's been awhile Smilie I have been busy focusing on the diet/exercise....end of school year stuff for dd....summer plans....etc. finally getting caught up just in time for a little vacation to go visit my brother end of this week! hopefully I will be able to pop in here more now.

question...is there someone in here who's a gymboree fanatic? laugh out loud was it setsail? anyone know where I can find a gymboree coupon? it seems like I always have one from a magazine or something but looked through all my Parents ones this AM and can't find any that are unexpired Dontknow got an email from them about their <$13.99 sale today and would like to buy a few things for dd. their stuff used to fit her horribly (we had an 18m size dress that I bought before she was born that didn't fit until she was 3 laugh out loud) but I'm thinking now that I can get her into their 4s soon (she's almost 4.5y and falls into the size 3 on their size charts....c'mon kid grow LMAO) we'll be OK and their stuff is sooooooooooo stinkin' cute!
1. Gmail trick works to sign up for an emailed 10% coupon
2. ebay sellers constantly have 20% coupons
3. various parenting magazines, as Photos posted this month it's Family Fun. I often find one in Parents and Parenting.

Gymboree is usually pretty good with sizing but try EACH piece on because there are sizing inconsistencies. Last year I bought some shorts for my youngest ds and some 5s were huge, another style the 6 was too small.

Hi, Hope your family is doing well. How is your brother holding up?

I found a Gymboree cpn in my Family Fun magazine. It is 20% off entire purchase. Exp. July 31, 2012. If you would like me to mail it to you, I can drop it in the mail today. Just let me know.
Awesome thanks; I will reply to your PM Smilie I will be near some gymbo B&M's soon too so maybe taking setsail's advice I can have her try some stuff on and that would be good.

My brother....he is doing a LOT better than he was, a lot a lot a lot better. He still has bad days and such and the ridiculousness still continues on her end of things....not sure when the divorce will be final. Their 3rd anniversary would have been 7/11 and he ALWAYS counted the months they'd been together....so yesterday (an 11) was hard for him and I think next month will be way hard. We are going to see him this wknd. and then he'll be back "home" for a week here soon too so that will be nice. Thank you for asking - overall definitely better day by day.

Thanks for the advice, yeah I probably should know that after the dress incident Teehee I held up a ton of 4s's the last time we were in the store and though yaaaay I think she will be able to wear this stuff at some point in the near future and most seemed pretty true to size but since we'll be near so many b&m's in the next few months I definitely will do that. With her I can usually hold stuff up and just tell too, when it comes to pants at least. Shirts aren't usually an issue. I will check for more mags....no clue where all of my magazines went and there wasn't one in my most recent Parents Frown Prices were high enough on eBay that I may as well just drive down to the store in IA City instead laugh out loud I thought maybe they had some generic codes or something.

Pregnancy going well and everything? I read back a little bit but not super far. Can't be long now right? bounce

Wow, must be because of the $13.99 sale! Last week I bought 20% coupons for $1 each. The cheapest I saw under the bin was $8.99 for 4- 15% codes. For $8 or more for one coupon, might as well go buy the magazine.

And thank you! 3 weeks from today is the tentative date for the c-section. I can't wait!! heart Not looking forward to the surgery but can't wait for him to be here.

I know I was shocked....that was about the first place I checked after discovering I didn't have one. So weird....given some of the prices I've seen for the gymbo stuff on eBay though (like the actual clothing) I can see why people like the $13.99 sale quite a bit Stick Out Tongue I have been ebaying a lot lately, trying to get a head start on back to school shopping. If I spend enough time searching I can find some darn good deals....gap jeans for instance....fit my dd awesome, every time same size....outrageous prices in-store and we don't have a good store near here anyway....good deals lately and I don't have to leave the house either Big Grin

Yay!!! Yahoo! Sooooo exciting, that'll be here before you know it!

and seems this poster has 2 sd accounts and is really honeybunch. stupy. i'm pretty sure that is against the rules and admitting it in a fight is a good way to get yourself banned.
I never thought I'd be the cause of one of STs drama alerts..I was just telling her the truth and the Target coupon rules

Yep, TN... yes she is. One shouldn't accuse someone else of being snarky in a snarky reply... kind of the pot/kettle thing. Lachie was just trying to help her out.

And lastly, Thrifteh... no you can't. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) LOL!
I missed most of it as I took a nap...

The Reader's Digest version:

*HB/Cathyl... (the one with 2 accounts apparently) ask for the FW link to Target Q's.

*Lachie tried to tell her she should go to FW for the link, not to ask here.

*HB/CL accused Lachie of being snippy.

*Muffie said I'm sure Lachie wasn't being snippy, just trying to help you out as it's clear you are a newbie. It's just not good protocol to ask for a competiting deal site's link on our site. It's kind of like going to Walmart and asking them to refund you for a purchase you made at Target... just not a good practice. Technically, I think the mods could delete your post as it comes very close to violating SD's rules of not posting competitor's links. If someone replied to you, they would have been issued warning points and their post would have been deleted. And as far as reps would go, you can rep, but they wouldn't count as you have less than 50 posts, so the person you gave them to wouldn't really be getting repped. HTH. (she only had 4 posts, so I incorrectly assumed she was a newby... my bad!)

*HB/CL came back stating she wasn't a newby but had 2 accounts and she was able to rep.

*Mod banned HB/CL's second account.

End of story.

I was being sort of snippy in a non snippy way. I hate when drive by posters(let alone one with two different accounts) stop by and ask for something without ever giving anything, especially FW links so she can get MPPs of Target couponsBig Grin Go there and ask. I also have sort of a pet peeve about someone's siggy that reads "F__W__Convert" Why are you here?

If you are still looking and need an online code for Gymboree, I got a coupon with my NFCU Visa card statement last month for 20% off entire purchase at Gymboree, online or B&M, exp 6/24/12. Front of the coupon says to "use your nRewards Visa card" but this is not mentioned in the terms and conditions on the back. If you want/need it, I can pm you the code to use Smilie My 8 month old daughter is itty bitty too, and I stick with Children's Place and Carter's for her, since I know exactly how they fit her and what size she is.

Have a great day!

I used to love buying BabyGap but the prices lately are shocking. Baby boy stuff at TCP is blech imo so I admit, I paid $20 for a Janie & Jack 20% coupon. I saved much more than that though. Embarrassment laugh out loud

Thanks a ton for the offer - Photos is sending me one so I will be good to go Smilie I am just so glad my dd has "evened out" some....I use to never be able to buy a "set" of anything if it came all together because she needed smaller bottoms than the top piece a.l.w.a.y.s. I have just learned to read the size charts too....I pretty much know that if she is in both the height and weight range in any given size we are good...if not: warning. LMAO Geesh, never thought I'd have so much trouble fitting my kid into pants that fit correctly Teehee

I agree - I just often wonder if people pay full price for that stuff....that their kids are going to outgrow so quickly for the most part. I suppose if there were younger siblings to hand down to....

Not a huge fan of TCP either, girls styles are OK, I agree on boys....fit issues again here. I love, love, love the ruffle flare girls jeans but by the time they fit my dd in the waist/butt/whole pa-tootey area the ruffle flare is at her ankle or above Stick Out Tongue As much as I like adjustable waist it totally doesn't solve every fit problem for some kids.

Ahhhhhhh Janie and Jack....soooo cute. Pretty sure our nearest store is Chicago (4 hrs.) and that's probably a good thing for me Smilie

For my older kids I definitely had to buy for more solid kiddos, for the 4 year old he wore his age in size until this year. Seemed odd to me after years of kids that wore larger sizes. The hand me downs he has from his 10 year old brother, older ds wore at age 2 or 3. Monkey boy is almost 5. I had to relearn how to buy ahead for this one (psst he takes after his dad laugh out loud ).

We have two stores in the DC burbs but still a trek to get to one. I recently learned that there is an outlet in Williamsburg, VA (along with Hanna Stick Out Tongue) but I haven't checked it out yet because I'm afraid for my pocket. LMAO

Thanks for the recaps Smilie

Just curious.. what was the second screen name? And I always thought if you were caught with 2 accounts, they banned them both?

Had a great day today.. went to lunch with a long time friend, came home and cleaned a little house, jumped in the pool with my DD for about an hour, cooked a quick dinner and took my youngest to vacation Bible school.. She had a great time and came home nice and tired nod

Cathylaughy, Cathylaughter or something close to that. Had been member since Dec/Nov 11, made only 4 posts, and only had the 10 free reps SD automatically gives a new member.

Haha, Williamsburg Outlet$ = bad for my wallet Embarrassment. They are less than an hour away from me, so I make up any kind of excuse to take a day trip up there. I love me some Coach Big Grin. Hubby says no more Coach though until I use all the new bags in my closet at least once each Frown

My daughter is itty bitty but long, so thank goodness for dresses! She's 8 months but just started wearing size 6m about a month ago, they fit her up top usually but lengthwise aren't always quite right lol. I usually buy Carter's for her, since they fit her well lengthwise, and Children's Place for some of her dresses and shorts outfits. I've looked in Janie and Jack but never bought from there, figured I would wait until she was a bit older and had the eating thing down a bit better Smilie.

Can't really complain about her size though, since it means she fits into clothes for a while longer than most infants. Plus, thanks to my husband's super dominant Filipino genes, it's one of the few aspects that she gets from me woot Size and her slightly paler skin (when compared to hubs, still darker than me lol) are my only noticeable contributions Frown

ummm, ok, so how did i get dragged into the entertainment? was only trying to explain why your post got edited by the mod. you weren't wrong in what your said- why are you asking for something here that's over there at the competition? unfortunately you were telling everyone else where they were available while you were telling her to go ask for them where they are available. if your post had been left up, it would have allowed others to circumvent the rules here by letting them know they can go over there to get them. that's what i think. i hope you understand. not that you'd asked for them or condoned her asking for them. dunno where you got that impression.

and i think she got lucky that both accounts didn't get permanently banned. maybe b/c the second acct was barely active. they could have even temporarily banned her primary account too. as a lesson to others. i'm sure she's not the only one. but how dumb was that to identify yourself in your main account to prove that you are not a newbie and can rep??? LMAO

ummmm yeah this. I love that part. We buy way ahead on clearances and stuff and anymore I will absolutely not buy stuff past about a size 6, 7 maybe if it's really, really cheap and cute just because we are almost a full year "behind" on sizing. dd is almost 4.5yo and in 3t for jeans still, though I do anticipate 4's this fall/winter sometime, shirts 3-4. And when summer comes it always seems like she "shrinks" Huh I went through stuff for summer this year and barely had to pull any of the stuff out from last year; it all still fit for the most part. Makes it worth spending a little extra for a few pieces that fit well.

OK....I gotta get packing for our weekend trip Smilie Way too distracted today laugh out loud

I guess my family is the other end of the size spectrum. My great nephew who just turned 1 in May already wears 2T clothes.
