does any one else on SD watch this show. i have watched each episode and i'm hooked its a mystery going on in each episode and makes it worth wild to watch .

That's what I got. They didn't die together but Jack's father says we all die sometime. I think where they are (heaven, nirvana, what have you), there is no sense of time. So some died before Jack's death and some died after Jack's death but they all meet up at the 'end'.

Not only did they all just die, but there was no telling how or when they all died. For all we know Hurley and Ben ran the island for like 10 years before they died. It sucked IMO.

That's the way I see it too. They all experienced everything in the show. They didn't die during the plan crash (as some are thinking). Remember when jack was going towards the light (in this episode) and he says "I'll see you at the other end". Well, that's exactly what happened. They lived an extraordinary life, but in the end, life ends. So all that matters are the experiences that you gain in a lifetime. The ending was the stereotypical "perfect ending". You reminisce every great moment before you seize to exist.

I loved the ending.

The finale was amazing up until the last 15 minutes...I'm less than satisfied with the Chronicles of Narnia-style ending that they tried to pull off. It just didn't work for this show. I'm hoping my opinion will change in the future.

Alright I understand that they were all dead when they met at the church, and after that they went to heaven.
What I don't understand is why they lived their alternate lives, and what happens to the people in that universe that they have left behind.
For example, what happens to Jack and Juliet's son? Is he an orphan now? Does he simply cease to exist?
I really liked the ending. I just don't understand this part.

...they should have just done what someone else predicted....have the timelines merge when people "remember" stuff....it wouldn't be explainable but it would be better than theirs....

...I'm going to watch Kimmel and see the other alt. endings

What a crappy ending!!! The episode wasn't too bad. Was nice to see the old cast again, but they really left so many questions unanswered. I thought we'd be getting a lot of the answers this season. Instead we only got a few answered and the ones that did get answered we half-assed or just lame. Many scenes in this episode were moving, but I just hoped it would have ended better than this.

So disappointed with this season. The previous seasons of Lost were so great...this season was such a let down. Frown

Perhaps this alternate universe existed after their deaths, to reaffirm how much the relationships they had in the past meant to them?
When they finally meet again, they all understand how important they are to each other.
