Has anyone dealt with Staples rewards Theft??

Ok, so I have been turning in ink cartridges to staples for a while now, and have received rewards since February I believe, and I have never been able to use them except one. I usually waited til the last day before they expired and then they wouldnt work when using them online or in store they wouldnt work, so i just figured i missed my chance, and would try again next month (i know, not the smartest approach, but thats a different issue).

Anyway, since I kept having non-stop problems with my rewards, I just logged onto my account to check my status on rewards.. Well apparently, EVERY single one of my rewards was redeemed in New York by somebody buying external hard drives both times. One was in Staten Island and the other in Selden... The problem here is that I am from Indiana, and have never been to New York in my life.. Now I dont know if 'New York' shows up if you buy online, or if someone guessed my rewards account number, because I keep my computer clean and scan it constantly for everything, and have never posted any information anywhere.. I cant call the rewards people til Monday to figure this out.. Do you think they will credit me with any of these rewards, or am I screwed?

So has anyone else had this happen, or did i win the unlucky lottery again? lol

Now, we need a report from someone who receives a $25 off $100 coupon from Staples to see if they changed the coupon algorithm as well.

Actually, if they put any 16 digit code in your coupon wallet I think you will be able to tell.

If they only sold coupons, this never woulda happened. They got greedy and stole people's reward checks.

Sad day for Staples deals now. Back to full retail prices................

We shall see but there are other sites that sell coupons. Unless they all get shut down shortly. If you mean the coupon prices will be higher that is most likely true. I expect SDer Club to be back. Their domain name is registered in Shanghai, China IIRC. I would posit that they generated more losses for Staples with coupons than any rewards they sold. I really don't remember if they sold rewards at this point or not. Never bought anything from them as their rep was pretty poor.

I had not logged into their site for a while now, but I think I had a balance with them as well. Time to check PP for payments and request a refund Smilie. Used the 25 off 75 online cpn a couple of times from them.

Here's a thought. SDer Club has pulled off the ultimate scam by claiming that the DHS seized their domain. Ergo they now have no committment to pay out any balances. Look for them to be back in some other form.Wink

I totally think this seizure notification is a just another scam.

Just opened a case with PP. My last payment to them was Jan 7. Escalated too.

Yeap... The stolen rewards triggered numerous complaints that forced them to take action albeit it's taken forever. They've been fine with generated coupons for years.

Yesterday, when I used my app coupon for a software purchase, the manager of the store, whom I chat regularly, told me that they received a memo from corporate regarding the printed 50% off BR and 50% off cleaning supplies coupons with barcodes. Apparently, they took action after they received complaints about already redeemed BR app coupons. It's the same story...

when did they send out the memo? my last br coupon I used last friday and stacked the 25/75 banner coupon without any issues. haven't tried any from phone since but there is really other coupon worth using right now.
