For christ's sake, its just a friggin tit.
And all of this over name calling? Jeez, had she made it to high school, it would have been forgotten about. Kids grow up. Stupid on her part AND her friend's part for not telling anyone as well.
That is where it is PARENT'S jobs to step in and supervise their children. My children won't be having a cellphone with camera and text until I am very confident they can be trusted. That may not be until after they are older, that is alright.
It is MY responsibility to supervise and monitor what they have access to. Scanners? Webcams? Digital Cameras? all of that can be monitored.
Some say, "Well what are you going to do when they go over to someone else's house and do it?"
The parents of any child my child spends time with will think like me and we will have an open line of communication about my expectations.
I'm not blaming the poor parents, and yes the other kids that did the bullying was wrong and they should be punished, but some of these tragic things can be prevented by doing a little preventive supervision, IMHO.
My son is just learning to open drawers, therefore I put the markers and paint up to a high shelf where he can't get them. If he gets the markers out and scribbles all over the wall, do I blame him? The Markers? Or my stupidity for leaving it down where he can get it unsupervised?

However you CAN control who they go hang out with.
It's called parenting.
Not letting your kid do what they want.
wanna bet that cell phone had gps in it and the parent could track it easily?
not only that, i net it was on the parents account and thus controllable what could and could not be done with it.
And finally, the parent should be checking the phone periodically to see what the child is doing.
it's a child, not an adult. don't treat them like an adult until they prove they ARE an adult.

For example, let's say there were no laws that punish kids for vandalism or shoplifting. I'm sure parents wouldn't make a big deal about it if their kids were caught vandalizing or shoplifting. Because currently, if they are found guilty of either offenses, the kid (and ultimately, the parents) would face fines and court costs.
Parenting is important. Sorry to say this, but there are really bad parents out there who just don't give a crap.
I am guessing most people here never even venture farther then their backyard.... Half of the real CIVILIZED unpuratanical actual freedom loving country, women's breast are the norm.. You see tits everywhere, magazine, billboards, tv, media...ect etc.. The nude beach almost all teens are topless...
But in America oh freaking no.... child porn child porn child porn, when a girl showing her tits is anything but that.... Its uptight America thats to blame... If tits were just that, no one would blink another eye at it... It'll be just the norm... But leave it to fake freedom thumping America to be behind on the rest of the world
