How much will I receive from my settlement? OT encouraged

SO I was in a car accident a few years back, and yada yada, I have a permanent injury to my hip flexor area. It inhibits my ability to exercise the way I used to, it hurts after sex Mad !!!! and sometimes it pops/clicks when I walk. It is not debilitating. I did not lose an arm or become deformed from this. I am not in a wheelchair and I didn't lose my job over this injury. However, its a pain in the ass and I'm upset that it can never go away.

So after 1/3 of it goes to legal fees, lets make bets on how much I get out of it.

Before it was deemed permanent I was offered 18k (Or about that) before the 1/3 was taken out. I'll update this if I ever get money.
And no, I am not loaning any of you money! laugh out loud

(If anyone remembers my thread about what you would do with a large amount of money if you won it, that is what this was about)

I think you might be aiming a bit too high. My exh had his hip broken and his leg broken in several places. It took lots of screws to put him back together. The injury ended his lifetime career as a firefighter. Despite all that he still received less than $70k total.

UTR, I'm going with about $25k
then $70k seems like peanuts...you sure he had a good lawyer?

No, surgery won't help.

I feel like hands are more important than hips though. No?
See my surgery took some pain away but i lost grip and it hurt/burns when I do certain thing. I might be grabbing something and my hand will just give up and i'll drop it but have no control over it. I almost hit a lady on the head with my suitcase once when my hand just gave up while trying lift it...laugh out loud

Have you spoken to your lawyer about approx. how much these type of cases get? My doc said i lost 30% of use and if the workers comp people want to take me to their doc, the least I will be entitle to is 10%. The court would actually add both % and divide it by 1/2. So right now if I went to their doc the least I would get is 20% of my annual wages but I know they won't argue my doc's # because I do have damages to my hand. My niece had a horrible car accident and she's getting 100k for her spinal injury.
