mysterious "bruising" - Limited OT

over the last 2 weeks i've developed many "bruises" and i have no idea where they came from. i haven't taken any falls, bumped into anything...nothing like that. what is weird is that you can't actually tell there's a bruise there - there is no discoloration of the skin. but when i touch that spot it hurts like it is a bruise.
there are "bruises" on one of my calves, both my knees, my left hip, my left butt cheek, my right upper arm, part of my right shoulder (on my back) and one or two places on my right breast.
it's very weird, and it's actually really bothering me. i've got all sorts of weird ailments running through my head right now. i promise that i have not taken a fall or a random roll down a big hill lately. this whole thing started about two weeks ago with my knees and has just gone from there.

There are multiple reasons why you would have this, but I do recommend you see a doctor ASAP.

i honestly just thought it was a side effect of the wicked migraine i had sunday night that lasted an hour or so into monday morning. because i was having pain down into my neck and shoulders (from the migraine) so i assumed the left arm thing was related. but the migraine and neck/shoulder pain faded, and the arm thing stuck around a few more hours.
Do you feel short of breath? Fatigue?
Also, does it look like this picture (http://en.wikipedia.or
Sorry for all the question, I am a second year medical student, so I have random ideas of problems that could possibly cause this your bruising.
i don't really have any bruises. until this morning, all the soreness (in spots that are no bigger than a half dollar) had no skin discoloration whatsoever. i woke up this morning and there's a half-dollar sized bruise on my left butt cheek (where it was previously just sore) and a few places on my knees and calves are still sore to touch - but still no bruising there. the other places i was sore are no longer sore, except for my right breast in a small place, maybe the size of a nickel.
the bruise that showed up this morning looks like a normal bruise, and nothing at all like that horrendous picture you posted
i don't feel short of breath, and i wouldn't say that i'm fatigued lately. i'm under a lot of stress at work the last month, a friend of mine unexpectedly passed away last week, along with a few other personal stressful situations here recently. perhaps i just need a break from it all.

i always manage to convince myself that what i think is serious is totally not serious and totally not worth wasting a doctor's time. and i'm afraid of going in there with genuine concern and getting laughed out of the office with what amounts to a drunk girl falling down without realizing it. which, by the way, i can assure you did not happen.

Exactly.
Including Fibromyalgia.
But I'm going with my old standby - You have Bubonic Plague.
If the doc laughs at you, you need to switch doctors.
I think you misunderstand.
It just gets frustrating to 'see' that you could potentially have a life threatening illness and yet you don't want to go to the doc. It is probably nothing, but in the 1 in 1000 chance it is serious, why risk it?
I understand the fear, but are you afraid of dying?
The vast majority of docs will not laugh at you if it turns out being nothing. MOST doctors will appreciate that a patient cares enough to have something checked out.
