Sherlock on BBC One and PBS ++++Season four to air in January++++

Sherlock is a absolutely brilliant TV show from the BBC. The three episodes aired on BBC One in July/August and PBS in Oct/Nov of 2010. It did so well in fact that they are going to air three more 90 minute episodes in the fall of 2011. So if you have a chance, watch this show. It's really amazing, we're watching the last episode of season one right now.

Note: It's a modern day Sherlock Holmes and is set in London.

Funny you should mention Midsomer Murders. I'm going through them on Netflix and watching all the episodes back to back. Previously, I'd only seen a handful of them from different seasons.

Sherlock is really nothing like Midsomer Murders so you can't really compare the two. Sherlock is a very clever show with some really interesting repartee and an excellent cast.

Take a look at the top review on Amazon. That is a pretty apt summation of the show.

I wish they would do more episodes but the reason they're giving is the show is very complex both on the plot and the camera shots, so they say they can't do more episodes with the budget given. At least they're 90 minutes long. Smilie

The first two episodes of season 2 have already aired in the UK. I don't think they would wait until May to show them here. Dontknow
