Happy Sunday!

TN I'm sittin here having coffee and looking out at the yard and I thought of you and all the mowing you do. The grass isn't growing so fast anymore so hope you're getting a break too!

I'm also looking at these k cup barcodes. (always looking for an angle laugh out loud) they start with an 8, but family codes are different on some, same on the others.

Morning guys! Couldn't sleep, so I just decided to get up. Currently looking at K cups at kohls.com and trying to figure out if any of the coffees are strong/bold enough for me, hehe.

My DD says the Green Mountain Sumatran Reserve Coffee is very strong. Usually she does not mind a stronger coffee but this one she said she could not drink.

I got one Keurig Coffee yesterday and the extra % off was not on so paid $4.xx for one box after 15% and $5 coupon. Still not bad.

Nope, that has a non stick surface. I am flexible as to brand, size, even price (to a point) the non stick surface is what I absolutely won't do.
Was going to ask what's wrong with non-stick...but as I read, it's been answered. I have been in the market for a griddle for the last few months. Budget won't allow for it, at least not now. Maybe black Friday will have something good! Of course the alternative is to shop at Jamies! Still loving my Elmo Machine. I got all the beds, comforters, blankets done. I started taking down the curtains and letting the elmo machine works it's magic. Thanks Jamie!

I currently have one residing in the corner of my window. Cold Haven't gotten 'round to removing him yet...

have you tried spraying 'em with windex?
I always run for the hair spray..immoblize the little chits and that buys me a few minutes to figure out how to exterminate without touching them. I used to have a bug sucker, but it broke. It was so handy. We hardly ever get any bugs in our house though.

OH GT, forgot to say - i'm like you on the teflon business. eliminated all nonstick pans etc from the kitchen. i will not use them given the health concerns. we grew up using cast iron griddles on gas burners. i was just looking at one at T the other day.

but found this electric one [kitchenkrafts.com]... i'm sure you can find these cheaper elsewhere
searching for lefse aluminum electric griddle brings up several sellers on google.
Thank ya Maam.

I never saw this at all around here because if I had, I would have bought about anything that is a train. Supposedly was available last year? Only place I can find it now is eBay ($39 plus shipping) and Amazon sellers ($42 plus shipping). For a toy that was originally $20. Frown
I will keep my eyes open.

Wave morning.

It is very dry here as well. Right now I couldn't mow if I wanted to, as the foot just won't let me. My neighbor across the street who I've been helping teach Q at Publix mowed it for me with her riding mower 1 week ago. I tried to pay her with a Publix Gift Card, but she wouldn't take it.

I do have a follow up Dr appt this week.

The lady who works hand receipts with me is 57. She messed her right knee up over 2 weeks ago getting on her hands and knees looking at serial numbers and barcodes, but she refuses to go to the Dr.. I was already limping. The sight of us together ==> folks call us the Limp Sisters! Will be happy to no longer be a Limp Sister.

Post Edit:
If you need paper to print Qs on, check out Staples this week. $1 per 500 pgs via easy rebate (never done this, so I don't know how EASY it might be). Pg 12 of the Staples ad.

Annoyed that the MP chicken Q expired yesterday and of course, it's on sale this week.

Tide is $9.99 for 75 oz this week.

Hi, all. Hope everyone is doing fine.

The Staples easy rebate is easy. You can do it on-line You get a huge receipt at checkout with codes that you need to enter on the site. Last time I entered some rebates, I got the checks within 3 weeks.

There was no one particular post with low oop, there were just several scattered over the past three weeks. I just kept wondering, why would you put yourself out there like that? Paying $1.88 and walking out with two bags of stuff? Of COURSE they're going to remember you when you come back, and they're going to watch you like a hawk - even if you haven't done anything wrong, you're still on the radar then.
i think it's several factors. one of them being we got a lot of newbies when the really hot mpp's were in the wiki towards the end. i remember 100+ users on the thread for awhile, esp when 5.00 c9, colgate, produce, etc were all available together. normal high traffic is around 50-60+ users. it has really calmed down so much. unfortunately we kept a whiner and a cyber bully who was picking a fight in printables yesterday.

a lot of those newbies were only here for free stuff. and as much as they could get. and i don't care what you say, unless you are reselling them, nobody, not even the duggars would buy 40 of the same/similar shirts in different colors b/c they would only fit a few people, even in that family of 19 kids and 2 parents. usually when it's 75% off it's the xs, s, xxl, xxxl sizes left, of which, not that many people fit. so really, who could you be gifting them to and how many would you be giving to one person at a time? usually they come in maybe 3-4 color ways so you can't give somebody more than 4 shirts at a time. and who gives a gift of the same/similar shirts in 4 different colors? you maybe give 2 shirts. that means you are gifting to 10-20 men in your circle? must be gifting to the office or the sports team and not basketball either, but again, i'm sure the sizing would be difficult so i still call resale.

just like that person lied to the target employees about calling corporate, they weren't being forthright about their motives here either.

and some of those people continue to stick around for free bread, produce and the like. but they have a different mindset and only want the freebies and cheapies. they haven't become fully indoctrinated yet to the target way of lifelaugh out loud.

target doesn't help it's case by continuing to release many high value coupons that make things free. i think what they've done instead is to crack down on enforcing the one per transaction verbiage. i think the reason why is b/c they are heavily promoting the expanded grocery and it's very difficult to change people's habits unless you make it so attractive that people just cannot pass it up.

what gets me is all the lurkers that keep coming out of the woodwork. yesterday i saw somebody who was a member for over 3 yrs and their 13th post ever i think was about finding something in their store that a regular couldn't find. it works out to 1 post every 3 months. obviously not repping people in the other threads!

About 6 mos after I started couponing, DH remarked how he opened the cupboards/fridge, etc... and instead of all the generic stuff we used to get, it's all name brand. I so RARELY buy store or generic stuff - and that's only when there's a store q that makes it free/cheap or for some reason I let my stockpile run out and I don't have q's. There are also occasional things I buy because I actually like the store brand vs. regular brand (I like WM potato chips because they are super salty - so if I'm there and get a hankering for chips - I get those...)

Oh - and our grocery budget is less than 50% of what we used to spend when buying generics - and we've added 2 kids and a dog since then!!!
Same here... except we haven't added a dog. laugh out loud We have always kept a detailed excel spreadsheet of every penny we spend. DH has it broken down in to categories so I just log in and enter the amounts and then it adds it all up and the main page tells me how much more I have in my budget for the month. After about 3 months of couponing we started to notice I was below in the "grocery/household" category and after 6 months I was at about 50%. After a year of couponing I finally convinced him to lower the total amount allocated in that category for me. This doesn't even include how much I save on "gifts" and "eating out". I KNOW that my family is saving a ton of money because I use Qs, regardless of what some expert says.

I was just curious if I was the only one who felt like this usually ends up getting you unwanted attention. I KNOW my store would be alllllll over me if I did that.. and I would be scrutinized and picked over with every single shopping trip.

And TRC, where on earth are you?? EEK! I usually see you poke your head in to check on things, but you've vanished!
If you remember during the last Sobe deal there was a Master A$$hat in deals that was bragging about using 50-60 TQs at a time. He shops at a store MOT2 and I sometimes use that has always been VERY Q friendly. Well, my last 2 visits there I've gotten the 1 TQ per tranny speech. Can't imagine why? Farking idiots.

I'm down 1.6 this week! Roll

Anyhoo...I am kinda hooked on the Target Brand "Zone" bars. They are cheaper than Zone and just as good ($3.99 Vs. $5.XX). They are 200 calories but that is my only breakfast and they really do fill you up. I got the Chocolate Mint and they are YUM, remind me of Thin Mints!drool

Gt - I think you need to search on electric griddles and choose either aluminum or cast iron. I've seen several aluminum plates that you can put over 2 burners and lots of cast iron ones. All this for eggs? To each his own.
I don't just use it for eggs. I use it for other stuff, too. I particularly like bacon cooked on it. It will all lay out and it cooks straight and flat. I have a Jenn Air stove with all the inserts. One of them is a cast iron griddle and I don't like it.

I looked at it and got all excited... then I remembered the bacon. It doesn't have a hole and a grease catcher. I suppose I could always tilt it to drain it into a bowl or something.

I don't like to either. At Target that usually isn't much of a problem since I often buy grocery stuff too. I have had a couple pretty low OOPs accidentally since I have to split into multiple transactions and there was some overage I didn't expect/take into consideration. I will do several transactions but spread my non coupon or higher OOP items over all the transactions so none of them are $0.06.

Now, if I am at the grocery store and it's all mfr. coupons, then I don't care. I have also had really low (sales tax + filler) OOP at Walgreens and will stand there and do multiple transactions.

And it depends of where I am how many transactions I will do. It's more than a hundred miles round trip to Target, Wal-Mart or Walgreens, I'm not running over there several times a week -- once or twice a month, maybe.

Target had a nice big griddle on clearance recently and it was getting down there in price. It does have the non-stick surface. I just don't like non-stick. I don't want to have to be careful with it and I want something that I can scrub the crap out of if I want to. I don't think I have ever had anything with Teflon/non-stick that didn't eventually start flaking off.

I think we are going to need some more soffit, which means, another trip to Menards.... right across the street from Target. Big Grin Darn.

We eliminated our teflon pans for stainless steel recently and I love them.....was skeptical of using the skillets at first and it does take a little practice but once I got the technique down it isn't so bad! Buh-bye Teflon, never going back!

Congrats on being down!!! Not a member of WW online but I do the calculating all the time with recipes -- add up calories, fat, and fiber of all the ingredients and divide each by the number of servings and you can get your pts. per serving from there. Then I attach my math to the recipe so I don't have to do it again the next time Smilie

Congrats Jilly!!!!

I weighed on the scale at my mom's house this AM (forgot dd and I were staying here since my bro is in town) and it said I was down by like 3 lbs. Huh shake head I don't think so - I'll have to do it tomorrow morning, I always try to stick to first thing in the morning. She has a nice WW scale but I am thinking it may just be off. I suppose it could be but I'd be surprised. My home scale and Wii Fit board are spot-on accurate with one another so I know I can weigh on either of those.

Price matching at T question. Last time I did this ONLY the service desk could do it. Really don't want the scrutiny of my receipt at the service desk, so can the cashier do it?

Looking ahead to next weeks Walgreens ad, where Breathe right 26-30 ct is 9.99 in the ad. There's still the $2.50/1 26+ ct insert MQ and a $1/1 TQ printable (no longer available).

I could always do 2 transactions. One with just breathe right, one with everything else.

The stronger, the better! Big Grin I usually drink an espresso roast and I always drink it black, so that might be a good one for me.

Might have to do some serious buying/returning for store credit before I can afford all this, though. It would be a nice splurge to get my parents for Christmas, too.
