morning all. it's a cold, rainy, grey morning here and it has me so tired. well that and getting little sleep. i just want to go back to bed.

Drives me nuts. I wish I knew what to do with it all sometimes. I don't have many places to stash stuff, and even when it is "out of sight", I know it's not the way I *want* it to be. It drives me bonkers.
i'm the same way in terms of being short on space for stuff... and when i have to stash it away haphazardly it just really irritates me, not because i'm being obsessive, but because i hate wasting time looking for stuff. i'm a very visual person, and i like things to be neatly put away, organized and on hand. i wish i had a stockpile room with shelves where i could just lay out the surplus toiletries and household goods, and then a large pantry with floor to ceiling shelves plus a wall of refrigerators with the glass doors... i can picture it all in my mind. wouldn't it be nice to just walk into a room and at a glance know what you have, what you need?
gt, i'm a no-clutter, no knick knacks person also. there are some candles in the LR, and i hate, hate, hate that they gather dust. the father of one of my friends calls knick knacks "dust collectors". all dust collectors are banned from their home! which may be why she loves them. hahaha.
and i dislike constantly being asked where i'm from, what my race is, what my ethnicity is, what my nationality is. i was just having this discussion with someone today - in europe/england, asking questions like that is considered extremely rude. people never would. but in the US, we find it perfectly okay to immediately ask people their ethnicity/nationality/heritage and categorize them into a race/ethnicity box. who cares? i'm a person with skin that changes colors and burns easily. who cares? people like to say the question comes easily because we're a melting pot here, but i'm not so sure the reason is quite that simple.
Tag toy book coupon beeps on Tag Jr (TS3 clearance), but was an easy K1. Forgot to print Leapster MQ - have to do a missed coupon.
Beneful coupons took off full $2 without any intervention!!!!!
Was able to use 6 $2 MQs on 6 TGI Fridays meals with no issues.
Halloween candy was 50%, everything else was 75%.

It took me a while to find the $3 TQ, its listed as "Digestive aid item" and is good on gas-x or maalox.

ETA: Everything is packaged separate, so it'd be really easy to substitute out the sauce for a different flavor, or leave out the chicken, or save the noodles and make rice instead, etc... I love free easy dinners on soccer nights!

Do they salvage lotion if it's returned? I was looking at my receipt and somehow i totally missed that the lotion I expected to ring up at $3.79 rang up at 6.54 each! That's a wee bit more than I was wanting to pay for the lotion! If I take it back to exchange, will they have to salvage it? If not, I will exchange, but if so I'll just keep it. TIA

Yes, I don't do clutter. I don't even do knick knacks. I have 3 places I keep stuff, garage, basement closet in son's room (he doesn't live here), and guest room closet -- excess food, not comfortable putting it in garage or basement. Don't have mice either place, but why invite them.
I hate, hate, hate it when I let myself get behind doing my coupons. I clip and file every one of them. I have quite doing them all if I get as many as you -- I stop at 20.
Since I downsized from the brief case, I have started doing something different with the P&G. I correlate all the like pages and staple them together. That way if I want a coupon, I don't have to dig through insert after insert grabbing one at a time. Then I print an alphabetical list (found online) of all the coupons in that insert and binder clip it all together. It works well for the P&G since they all expire at the same time too.
It sounds like you cut as you want them and don't cut and carry all the time, so that might work for you. Maybe note on the list when the last one expires so you know when to throw it away then stack by date in a box or a file.
Yeah, I'm still sorting through what I want as my final system. I have no spare pennies right now to buy anything to assist me, so its kind of sad. I do colate all the papers together, so when I need a coupon, I look up which insert, then all the like pages are together and I just clip them at once. Easy peasy. Its just getting everything into one orderly place.

No updates at my store this morning. No biggie, though - cashier selection was the pits, so I just got me some cheapo mac n cheese (.24 for the Halloween Kraft mac n cheese) and animal crackers (MP brand, big bag of a bunch of little bags) for .76. Also got two Curel gc deals, plus cat treats (tiny MM with the TQs and MQs). Oh, and TS3, which I then "remembered" that I had a coupon for at home, so had her void it off my order.
For those of you with a Pamida -- I got a start on a spreadsheet [google.com]. It's looking like it might be worth the drive, especially if I can get my daughter to go along and fill a cart.

1. join your local freecycle group if there is one in your area and comb the posts as well as post your requests. ditto craigs. people are constantly giving away office supplies, binder, baseball card holders and such.
2. if there is a staples or OD or OM near you, set up HD alerts on SD for their new threads and learn their ink recycling credit policies. build up some recycling dollars, then use those to "buy" whatever you need for assistance.
i did both those things. didn't make sense to "spend" money on organizational things for saving money.
also, if you have a dollar tree near you... page protector packs and tabbed dividers are avail a plenty there.
