Hey, where have you been? We have been talking about age the last couple days and theses young ladies here thing some of us are old. Now, if you have a daughter that is married and expecting, I'm guessing you aren't 25. At least I really really hope now, although technically it's possible.

People with a Pamida -- someone posted in the Very Dead Pamida Thread (yep, that's my official name for it. Those ppl are boring!) that they were told they are doing triples again next Sunday and Monday.
I've been laid out on the sofa with the crud. Took a week off work, so sick I didn't move far from the couch. No, I'm not 25, and I guess I'm old, but WTH I don't care what anyone thinks anyway so it doesn't bother me at all laugh out loud

DD now has the horrible crud and I feel so bad I shared it with her. At 35 weeks now, the last thing she needs is to come down with the bug, but it is what it is...DSIL will be back in town tomorrow night, so I'm playing nursemaid to her tonight. so...gotta go figure out what to make for dinner. Something easy, like soup.

OK, little Mommy vent here. Why do they feel the need to change beloved children's cartoons??? First Thomas, now Angelina Ballerina!
I agree - my kids hate it too. I think Bob the Builder is changed too.

I have had a permit to carry concealed (and have) for 10 - 12 years. As a matter of fact, a new bill just passed this summer that goes into effect Jan 1 making Iowa a "shall issue" state instead of a "may issue state"
I think we were a may issue, too. I'm afraid to think of a few Iowans I know packing, so I thought I better ask for my own safety & well-being LMAO

Quote from mama2cole :
Ok guys, sorry for the teaser.
Good news!

Congratulations Target on getting your system up to speed with Wal-Mart.

I did. The tumors in the liver are unchanged a year later and no more follow up is needed. I have to have another CT of the lungs in 6 months. I'll never get the hospital paid off laugh out loud Oh well, better safe than sorry. The lungs are unchanged as well, they just want to keep a watch on them.

All is good, except we caught this nasty virus it wants to hang on forever. I haven't done any couponing in about a month now and I really need to get back into it but I'm kinda like Tootsie in that I just don't want to deal with the crap Target is dishing out on us. I wish they would just hit a reset button and reset everything back to 6 months ago.
Awesome Dr. news!! Yahoo!

I wish T would stop farking up their own coupons too. It is an unbelievable hassle to argue legitimate TQ's with an associate who was told if it beeps we can't take it. Make a coupon and then make it useless. That makes perfect sense.

I am so far behind it will take me weeks to catch up.

Had an abcess in my wisdom tooth. Got some antibio's and pain meds and headed out to Houston. Spent two nights there and now we are in Austin, going home tomorrow.

Tomorrow is DS birthday party. Soooo excited. I got this massive whale bounce house slide. He doesn't know it but begged for one for his party. It's a Lego party.

Up with massive heartburn. Had to drive to this store near the hotel to get milk and TUMS and it was scary. People are weird.
Glad your tooth is feeling better.
That whale is awesome! All my kids have winter birthdays =( to cold to plan anything outside.
I agree, there are lots of really weird people, always have to be carefull.

Quote from flugette :
He is pretty sure he will *have* to take the driving class now, to avoid suspension. He got points on his license for his accident in May, and he already had a reckless driving ticket on it. So yeah...he needs to do something.

I got in on that Pampers deal, as well. And the Target gift card Q was not smart at all, and couldn't count. Evil

Home from church because Lillian had a low-grade fever yesterday and through the night.
That is good he has the option for driving school, that sucks about the other tickets though, yikes!
They also didn't know their own exp date. Teehee
Hope Lillian is feeling better.

Awe, sweet pic. You two look very happy. heart

BTW, I thought I'd heard that the registers at WM will only take a max of 20 Qs. But I've also heard about people using more than that. Is there a limit that you guys know of?
Ours is $40 worth of coupons and then you need manager approval and key. If I have more than $40 worth I make it two transactions. I admit I haven't shopped there in a really long time and not very often, but when I have done the seperate transactions the cashiers have been very happy not to have to wait for the supervisor to come over and thanked me for doing it that way. It keeps their lines moving, I have never done more than two, and sometimes it takes a REALLY long ass time for those grouchy supervisors to come over. I had one actually tell me it MUST be some kind of coupon fraud to use over $40 in Qs, even if I have a massive cart of groceries. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Not supposed to be here until the 16th. didn't realize it when I started putting a few runs together, and now I can't print my farkin' TQs :do h: :face palm: ARGH!!!! stupey broken printer.......:sad walk: I guess I'll bum some print time at my grandmother's house tomorrow evening.....
Which one did you get? Did you have Amazon GC? The one I ordered from Staples on Sat for $58.xx just got here Whee

Hello, everyone! Had an eventful morning...was brushing out my mare when she decided to rear up and catch me in the ribs with a hoof. I went down just in time to see her jump over me. Total fluke, she's 17 years old and has never hurt a fly up till today. : ( She got a workout afterwards to teach her that she wasn't in charge, and she was good as gold.

Was going to run to T this afternoon...think I'll stay home and take ibuprofen instead.
Hope you are feeling better. Ouch! I used to ride all the time, until I moved away from my parents at 17. So yeah it has been a really long time and I miss it. It was a great workout!

Quote from tmcws :
Guess I'll just have to plan T for another day. I only have 12 TGIF's in the freezer - I think I'm way behind the curve!
Nope, I have a big fat 0. Still trying to get some MQs. !!

DH's grandma is stabilized.
We're just hanging in there and waiting, I guess.

I have NO clue what we'll do if she passes away. *sigh* Seems like everything is piling on at once.
I am cold too!
Glad your chili turned out so well.
hug hang in there, it seems like when it rains it pours, but then things turn around and it is sunny for a good while. It does help to appreciate what we have, there are a lot of folks who are a lot worse off than we are.

I think it is a combination of things making just feel old. Like I have a 12 1/2 y/o and I was always the 'young' mom but now I am 34 and my baby is 1 - now I'm the 'old' mom walking my 5 and 7 y/os into parent tech nights. Plus, I quit smoking almost 2 years ago and was hoping that it would cause a automatic 'face-lift' but it hasn't and it just feels like my face is sliding off, All the 5 babies have made my boobs none existent, my stomach, while it doesn't really have fat per se, it does have extra skin just there, making a weird fold in it - that is uber depressing. It has never taken this long to bounce back from having a baby = which equals me being old. :sad walk:
You are not! I remember seeing your adorable family pics and being jelous of how pretty you are and tiny, you are a hot mom! I never knew there were so many of us with kids spaced so far apart, IMRL I don't know that many people that do, and so some of them ask if they are all ours so I usually say we have been married 16 yrs before I tell them we have a 13yr old 7 yr old and 22 month old. Then they are always like OMG you look so young! I know they are just saying that to be nice, though.

Quote from LongTimeLurker7 :
I can make you feel young again! Stick Out Tongue I'm 34 also (lots of '76 people in here apparently) and my oldest DS is married, owns a house, and his own business! :e ek: The woman he married is only 2 years younger than me. When we went to visit this last summer, she asked if she could call me "Mom" ummm...NO! And to complicate things even more, she has a 14 year old and a 7 year old. So, the oldest is 5 years younger than my DS (who is now her step-dad) and the youngest is exactly 1 week younger than my youngest DD. My DS is stubborn though, you can not tell him anything, and if you try to tell him "not" to do something, he only does it faster. He'll either succeed greatly or fail miserably. It's just the way he is.
Well even though he married a cougar, it sounds like, he seems to be succeeding, he is stable, owns a business and a home. Sounds like you have very interesting family get togethers.

Quote from mama2cole :
Let me know if you find some. I could use a few of those hot chocolate Qs as well. ; )
If any one has extra I could use a few, we did not get to stock up last year, at all I have two boxes in the cupboard and it is snowing today... SAD!

Quote from ank220 :
I think I am worrying about that "what if something happens that we're unprepared for feeling" before it's even here - kwim? I mean, once we use whatever tiny bit of $$ we have saved, well, we're back to the whole "I sure hope nothing major happens today" spot.

It's just a bit overwhelming to me I guess. And, of course, the cost of things is going up and deals are harder to get or find, so I'm finding it harder to stretch the grocery budget. I can't spend as much time researching either - just too much to do in a day.

I think I just need to breathe.
I know how you feel, I worry a lot of the time, about stuff everyday. It is overwhelming for sure and we just had a big cut to our grocery budget. Just to much to do in a day.
Just remember to breath! I say that to myself a few times a day.

:lm ao: I am so ready for snow. Bring it.

Unfortunately it is 70 degrees here today :an noyed: Not typical for Iowa this time of the year. And there's just something about listening to Christmas music while it's 70 degrees out and the windows are open....ended up turning it off.
I will trade you in a heart beat!
Snowing here today... SAD and cold.

Quote from myluvjustice :
Henderson is a much nicer area. But it still has all the thing I despise like the extreme heat and desert scenary everywhere. I am a real outdoorsey person but since we've moved here that's changed I just can't stand it here. I feel bad for my kids they don't get to experience very many outdoor activities. We will be nmoving hopefully out of state soon.
That is so sad, I LOVE the desert and the desert scenery. It is where I grew up and I don't mind the dry heat to much. I would rather be hot than cold, lol.
This is the perfect time of year to explore the desert, nice and cool. Have you ever tired geocaching? http://www.geocaching.com/ It is SO fun, a real life treasure hunt, your kids can pick little toys or things they want to take to put in the cache/treasure box and then they get to pick something to take out. Just put in your zip code and you will see A LOT of caches in your area. It will also tell you if there is a hike or how the road is to the cache, some are in town. It is just a really fun outdoor activity that the whole family can get into.

Quote from setsail :
Wow, building those courses is a lot of work! I didn't realize what went into them.

Once upon a time, it seemed like a lot of clothing on eBay was people selling stuff they had bought for their families. In the last few years or so I've noticed that a lot more of the nwt stuff was people buying specifically for re-sale. Only time it bothered me was when they bought out entire stocks of the really good clearance and sales deals at Gymboree, then could list stuff as HTF and charge more than original retail. There was a certain sweater and tights in 2004 that come to mind.

eta I'm off to bed now! It's way way too late here now.
Those courses are a lot of work, DH said the one this year at the SEMA show was the easiest build he has ever done.

I can't wait to print some coupons and shop at Target.

Has anyone noticed an odd superiority complex going on in some of the DS threads lately? Not the usual "you're a newbie so you suck" that I usually see, but it's almost like a "how could you buy something so cheap, that's horrible of you" type deal...
