did toy clearance w/ bff thurs and friday. now spending the long wknd w/ my very demanding sil and needs help when shopping mil. took forever to catch up to you chatty people!

not going to go back and hunt for it, but am confirming gg's post that i am not a fancy lady and don't have a keurig either. i'm lazy and usually do a teabag in the morning. sometimes somebody gives me loose tea or i buy it b/c i like flavored teas and many times that's the only way it comes. usually the better quality tea is loose. more on that later.

in the afternoons i usually drink a cup of warmed soy milk sometimes w/ hot cocoa powder, amaretto or vanilla flavored syrup or honey.

i also like to heat up apple cider or apple juice in the microwave.

i'll very rarely make myself a cup of coffee in the morning if i was up late the nite b4 and need caffeine. i use the older version of this-
http://www.amazon.com/Melitta-640...B0014CVEH6 . even though i have 2 coffee makers b/c if i do drink coffee, i will only drink one cup. coffee maker comes out only when i have guests.

Quote from Tracy1106 :
I have recently "gotten into" tea. I should really try this. I would love to start using loose leaf tea, but I have no clue how to make it. LMAO
The chai tea at Teavana in the mall is to die for!
Quote from ank220 :
There are these little metal ball thingys that you put the looseleaf tea into, then steep like a tea bag. I believe you can also buy the little tea bag things too. I sometimes get bulk oolong tea and make it in my coffee pot like you would coffee. Hide
Quote from Tracy1106 :
So...sorry to sound like a dork...but you just heat up your water and then put the little metal ball thing with your tea in the cup? I wanted to ask the people at Teavana but I was a tad embarassed lol.
ank, i am even worse. when i get really lazy i just throw the loose tea into my tea mug and wait till most of it sinks to the bottom. the occasional floating strays are a pain though and i fish them out of my mouth and stick them on the lip of the mug. my friend is even worse. he said what? no problem! it's just chewy! laugh out loud

i have all sorts of tea paraphernalia including the mesh ball and ball concept in the shape of a tea pot (really cute but pita to clean)
http://www.whittard.co.uk/store/c...102921.raa

i like using a japanese tea strainer the best. looks more or less like this-
http://www.kkdiscount.com/product...andle.html . comes in different sizes to fit different size mugs. if it's too small will fall in. i see teavana has a fancy one for 3x the price-
http://www.teavana.com/Tea-Produc...rainer.axd . the lid/tray is nice. i end up using a small rice bowl b/c good quality tea you can reuse at least one more time.

you can also get fancy teapots w/ similar strainer. chinese style is to just throw loose tea in the teapot and the area in front of the spout is pierced so the leaves won't come out. if the tea is good quality it won't become bitter w/ the leaves staying in the teapot and you should be able to add hot water several times and still get a decent cup out of it.

if your *tea* pot doesn't have some sort of straining capabilities, you can get a fancy strainer that rests over the cup while you pour the tea thru it like this (yes, i'm a sucker for cute stuff. wish i'd gotten the one w/ a matching bowl like this one.)

I don't think there is a set schedule. at my target, they have staggered shifts.. some do 8 til 2, some 9 til 3, ans so on..just wait til after lunch time and there should be better choices Smilie
has to be staggered. can't be having everyone leaving all at the same time and starting all at the same time. everyone would be taking breaks and lunch at the same time. and then no floor coverage.

Slowtech, your warm flavored milk sounds good. I find that I am drinking more tea than coffee these days. Nothing fancy though just PGTips, which I like for hot tea that is non herbal.

Gosh, why did I wake up so early this morning? Think I'll run to Target first thing and look for any left over clearance items. Then off to Sams CLub to help my neighbor bring home a TV she just bought. Should be funny watching us try to load and unload it with breaking it.

I So here is my question for you guys tonight... what is the one thing you absolutely LOVE and also HATE about your house? Oh, and I've already decided I'm putting in a walk-in pantry. Whee
I would love to have cable outlets and power outlets at the wall mounted TV height, I also have an electric fireplace that I would like the plug to be hidden behind it.

I would also like a separate surge box for my Halloween and Xmas light displays along with the outside outlets at various locations.

I love my linen closet, I would want one for every bathroom.
I love my pantry, I love my 'mud room' which is a northeastern thing. But it is the family's entrance into the home thru a side door which leads into a room where you take off your coats and boots and dont track the elements all thru the house.

I hate the houses placement on our lot, it makes the front yard to long and no way to "hardscape" a walk way or anything cute with the landscaping.

I hate popcorn ceilings!!!!

I would love for my attic to have finished sub-flooring for storage.

I love that the kids rooms are identical sizes, just mirror images of each other

AND I would kill for the Master Suite to be on a separate level or side of the house as the kids rooms are.

Oh I also like when the kitchen cabinets are varing heights with the crown molding givin it an all dramatic look, but then I also like when they stack two wall cabinets on top of each other and give it that super storage look.

Thanks for all the pros and cons on the house. I had never thought of the carrying laundry up stairs situation. Something to consider.
I thought about mentioning that. I have had both in different houses -- in an unfinished basement and on the main floor and I currently have both in this house. Regular washer/dryer in the basement bathroom, stackable unit upstairs.

If it works to your advantage to put your washer/dryer in the basement you could consider a stackable unit upstairs. Or, you could put the plumbing and electrical in a closet then it is there for later if you want it. Use it as a closet now.

I have always said that if I were building a new house I would have one fairly large room that would be not only the the bathroom and laundry, but I would go one step further and have closets and built in drawers. (Of course, now they have all those nifty organizer units.) Take off you cloths, bathe, put them in the laundry. Do the laundry, put them away, get out clean clothes. All in one room. No lugging crap all over the house.

Gotta make a trip out of town to get a new water heater. Ours has developed a leak. I will be right across the street from Target. I don't think I will be going in though. I can't think of anything particularly good to run in for. It would need to be kind of quick -- we need to get back so hubby can get the new water heater in.

tracy... if you see this in time, groupon cincinnati has a link for $20 for $40 at igourmet.com... it's a national deal, but cinci page is one of the ones that has it. anyone across country can buy it. igourmet has tea infuser mesh balls and disposable sacs as well as a bunch of great teas. and there are sites that have cashback for igourmet, so you could probably save even more that way.

oh, what happened to the rest of my earlier post. Sadwalk

I thought of a couple more things. We have been finishing our basement and a couple things we are doing occurred to me.

Outlets everywhere. But, we are doing our own so its really cheap to put them in. I know if you are paying to have it done, it might add up.

We have insulated the inside walls and the ceiling/floor for a sound barrier. It isn't sounds proof but it definitely makes a difference.

I have a double window over my kitchen sink and stove. We actually arranged the kitchen specifically so the stove was under the window. (Window was there, we redid the kitchen)

So... today DH and I decided that we are just going to bite the bullet and buy the lot out by the beach that we love. We went back by it today and let the kids play at the park and we decided that is where we want to live and we want to live there NOW. So we're going to buy the lot and then when our house sells we'll rent for 6 months while we build.

So here is my question for you guys tonight... what is the one thing you absolutely LOVE and also HATE about your house? Oh, and I've already decided I'm putting in a walk-in pantry. Whee
Yeah! Congrats!

Love: It's a place to live.
Hate: The mortgage.

Went to a party last night (didn't know we were going). Drank 2 mudslides. Got really tipsy as I am not a drinker. Went to Rite Aid at Midnight. Met a fellow SD'er. Proceeded to put stuff in her cart for her, chatted it up, and don't recall what I may have said, or why in the world I was putting stuff in her cart for her. Went to bed at 3:00 AM, got up at 8:00 AM. Need coffee..that is all for now.

Oh, for the love of shenanigans! Roll

In other news - did a nice little run at ST this morning. Store was empty, but cashier selection was pretty good. Everything went through this fine, but then I saw the loser on duty come over after I had checked out and it looked like he pulled a Q out of her drawer. I think I'm going to stay away from that store for a while. Meanwhile - the two ladies behind me in line were chatting with me about the extreme coupon show. I told them those people were lunatics, who needs 1000 boxes of pasta!! Whee

I got asked last night at Publix if I've paid to go to a couponing class. I've taught them instead. I did tell her that no one should pay for a class, unless the $$ is going directly to the food bank. Woman mentioned she paid $35 OMG to go to one.

New Healthy Choice B3G1F TQ goes well with the Publix sale of 5/$10 this week.

My publix stopped taking Walgreens q's. blah. Went by T and found nothing really. All the toys were gone. I found one cute little Circo baby that reads for 3.xx but she was broke Frown And I found a cookie cookbook for 1.24. Went by Publix and got stuff to make ribs, mac 'n cheese, fresh green beans and a cake for dinner tonight.

Trying to stay busy but my nerves are wrecked. Keep wanting to burst out in tears so time to go take the meds the doc gave me Thursday.

I can't figure out if I'm over reacting or properly reacting, or if there has just been so darned much in such a short time that I'm on overload and all it took was this one thing to put me over the edge. I'm trying my darndest to be positive yet I have this fear eating away at the pit of my stomach. It's so silly I know, because I do truly believe Em is going to be just fine. I don't know. I guess I am crazy. /rant

time to go start ribs.

Every time I've pricematched for an item that has a TQ, I lose my TQ value.

Is the way to do this buy the item, have it price matched at Customer Service (how I wish the cashiers could/would do this), and then go back later for a missed TQ? I'm out of Miracle Whip (yes, I know it was on sale 2 weeks ago at Publix, but I hate the squeeze out kind, but I'm desperate, so I figured I'd just squeeze it all out into the regular container I have). CVS has it 2/$4 and a 50ยข TQ.

The first thing you need to remember is to allow yourself to be where ever you are emotionally. You are on a roller coaster ride right now. The uncertainties are overwhelming. This is probably the most difficult thing to reconcile. You can't make a plan of action if you don't know what you are facing.

You are not over reacting. You are reacting properly. You need to be where ever you are emotionally and let yourself accept this.

What you are feeling and going through is not silly.
You are not crazy.

We are here for you, don't ever forget that! If you would like my phone number, I'd be happy for you to have it. You can call me at any time. I am here for you. I will help you as much as I can. You are not alone. hug
