Woman in a Government car is a lunatic. With pics!

Long story short I'm sitting at a red light that has a left turn lane ONLY that is to my left of course.

Light turns green I go straight.

I make it 100% of the way through the intersection, when all of a sudden there is a PRIUS hood at my drivers side window....GOING MY DIRECTION!!! Scared the **** out of me! The car is on the wrong side of a busy road (1pm on a Friday)...

I lay on the horn and slow down to let in this lunatic.

The person gets infront of me.......and what to do I see???

How's my driving?? on her bumper!! It has a website (which I can probably figure out) on it!! I start to smile.

The light infront of us turns red, it is red for at least a full second before we get to it......My window is down and I'm mouthing the words "I'm going to report you"

She says something back that I have no idea what it was and she ran the red light. She then got onto the highway.

Well guess what, 95 always has traffic after 11am on Friday's. I had NO PROBLEM catching up to her.

Here's the pic I got (we were actually moving and I was holding up the center lane by snapping this, I didn't want to be too much of a dick and slow others down so I kept going).

Here's a diagram that is an accurate depiction of where things happened. She got in my lane JUST as we got to the train bridge.

I just finished a complaint with pictures included and wrote that I want her removed from driving a state owned car. My tax dollars paid for her to cut me off, endanger MY LIFE and the life of the other people in the oncoming direction.

When you are forced to hit your brakes and let someone in front of you who is driving in the lane of oncoming traffic, that counts as cutting someone off.
I am in agreement with you here. I am not excusing the ladies actions she made a mistake and should have been reported. The OP didn't just honk and report, his actions were a clear display of roadrage and were dangerous to the other drivers around him.

I disagree, if he slammed on his brakes, most likely the ambulance behind him would have rear ended him. He also mentioned he slowed down, not slammed on the brakes.

I was on the OP's side up to here. He took it too the next level and responded with an holier then thou atittude.

Have you ever made a mistake? Accidently cut someone off? Put yourself in the drivers shoes, you made a stupid mistake though no one got hurt, you got a crazy nut following you around mouthing threats taking pictures?

Dude this was NOT an accident.......she did not accidentally cut me off. SHE HAD A GREEN ARROW THAT TURNED RED for her lane and SHE WENT STRAIGHT When mine turned green!!

I did slow down and not SLAM on brakes. It doesn't change the fact that she CUT ME OFF.

I did not respond with a hollier then thou attitude, I responded with a NORMAL person attitude.

I saw the "Hows my driving sticker" and when she looked at me I said "i'm going to report you"

I'm not a (other word for cat that SD autochanges), but I'm also not going to take it to an extreme level.

I did NOT follow her as far as she knew.

From her view she ran a red light and I was gone, she had no idea I even snapped the picture.

I wish I could ban your stupidity from this thread.

If I did to someone what the Prius did to the OP I would expect the person behind me to be pissed. The OP is correct in that the Prius driver had several options once he realized he was in a turn only lane. He could have turned and then turned around on the side street, he could have put his blinker on, waited for all the cars in the straight lane to pass and then gotten in behind the last one, but instead the Prius driver chose to drive in the oncoming traffic's lane and forced the OP to either lat the guy get in front of him, or risk the Prius getting hit by an oncoming vehicle.

That's not a simple mistake. It's not like the guy changed lanes without using a blinker or something simple and innocent like that. THE GUY DROVE INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. The OP is entitled to be pissed off. If I had been the OP, I would have flipped the Prius the bird. The OP chose to yell at the guy. In either case, I think a little display of frustration is warranted. It's not like the OP followed the guy home and smashed his windshield with a tire iron. You are clearly overreacting, and on the wrong side of the equation to boot. What the Prius guy did is about 1,000,000 times worse than what the OP did and you are acting like the OP is a personification of evil or something.

She absolutely drove into oncoming traffic on purpose.

- A person who did it by mistake WOULD NOT HAVE FLOORED the car and out accelerated me.

- I was in a lexus IS250 - she was in a prius. I don't know exactly how fast I was taking off......but she CLEARLY had her Prius FLOORED - proven by the fact that she did't actually get infront of me until right before the train bridge - her hood wasn't at my side door till we were THROUGH the intersection.

- There is no way a person who is confused floors a car and cuts off another car. That's a conscious choice she made. She knew she was in the wrong, but did it anywya.

If she can't figure out that a RED arrow does not mean "Go straight" or the ARROWS IN HER LANE (seen in the picture I posted in the OP) then she REALLY NEEDS TO GET OFF THE farkING ROAD! Especially in a car that I helped pay for.

My window was up, her window was up, mouthed it.

You're in the wrong here buddy. I guess you'd have just let her get away with it. I'm sorry, I helped to pay for the car she's driving and the gas that's in it. I also help to pay her salary. She better learn to drive better if she wants to have the thrill of driving around for free on my dime.

you're right...she should have just stopped in the oncoming traffic lane instead of doing whatever she could to get back in the correct lane.

I totally agree with you up to here. If the OP had honked or flipped off the lady, kudos, end of story. The OP went beyond that.

No, she should have seen the red arrow infront of her face.

If she found herself in the middle of the intersection with no where to go she should have stopped and figured it out.

The last thing you do when you're confused is hit the gas.

I don't see what she did as being any worse than flipping the bird or yelling a profanity.

Maybe she was in the wrong lane and simply wanted to cut over in front of you? You might have missed her right turn signal trying to let you know she'd like to correct her error, and when she tried to pass, you abruptly cut her off?
