So this past christmas my 6 year old was hurt at macy's when a display shelf came crashing down.
Today is the 1st time they contacted me.
The wanted to know about a car accident we had 3 months ago.
How the hell do they know my 6 year old was in a car accident unless they ran a background check.
Any ideas?
And no trolls, I'm not looking for legal advice, I'm looking for the database that Macy's used to check on my child.
Thanks!

This is standard procedure. Don't worry so much. Now, if your son has same or similar injuries in the two incidents, that might affect their settlement offer.
Same thing with Worker's Comp. Mickey D's might have just reported it as a notice only.
I know when one of our employee's get injured our carrier has ways of knowing if they have had previous injuries.
