VT got side-swiped as well. Our most desirable offensive target decommitted on signing day and went to Vanderbilt Huh To make matters worse, VT was only able to grab 2 of the top 10 and 3 of the top 20 in-state prospects. Wow. Stellar recruiting.

Oh ... and our only shot at a 5-star recruit decided to go to Clemson to join 3 other 5-stars this year. VT has only had a grand total of five 5-star recruits in the last decade ....

I read somewhere that each of the past 5 BCS Champions averaged five 5-star players on their teams. At some point, superior athleticism will dominate game planning strategerisms (re: VT vs. any BCS team)
