Happy Friday woot Lots of drama here lately...kids had school off Monday and Tuesday for conferences...both stayed home Wedndesday but I think DS was faking....but DD had fever, got DS to school on thursday and today DD wants to stay home again, can't get the thermometer to work, but she doesn't feel warm...so I'm sending her to school, which she is not happy about.....

So, I did not send out my Stalker package....I'm doing that today, I'm soooo sorry its late, but I'm doing the best I can.....and then to top it off today, my hubby gets a call that his Grandmother is dyeing...she's been in a home for years and her health has been declinging for years...I guess today her feet and hand are purple...and for some reason no one thinks to get her to a hospital...the nursing staff and DH family is just waiting for her to pass, shouldn't a doctor be involved? Dontknow I'm not getting involved, but I think at the very least, a doctor should be involved, even if it is meant to be that she passes, he could at least make her comfortable, which is something I dont think the staff a the nursing home can do...I dont know...if it was my grandmother, for sure someone in the family would be talking to a doctor.

Really need to talk to someone, but my bestest friend left for vacation today and my sister in law is busy getting the kids on the bus....Sadwalk

Nono1 That is not what I want to hear! laugh out loud

Sorry to complain, especially since I'm worried about Ariel and Dawn's health probs, and poor Toffi has to deal with the rugrats! We are more than a thousand miles away from both of our families, so no help here at all. When it gets really bad, I openly beg on FB and another mom friend usually steps up and takes the boys for an hour or two. Dh is really pulling his weight and more, but he is up for tenure this year, and is working his hiney off to make sure he gets it. The job market is so bad right now, he is just thankful to have a job in academics. Kind of sucks sometimes that he is a state employee with all of the budget cuts to education right now, but if I had to go back to work, the job market for journalists is really bad, so I may not even be able to find a job!

On a bright note, took baby out code hunting today, and finally made my first dipe orders! You guys rock so much for telling me about this deal! :woot :

i love you guys so much!!! I am sooooo excited! Wooo hooo!!!!

That's how we all got knocked up in the first place! :lmao :
Coachie, I wish I was closer to you! I would take the boys from you and let you rest more!! I hope you start feeling better again! hug

I am excited too! I tossed and turned all night and was able to think a lot since it was quiet, I am not sure I have ever felt so a part of something good, as I do here, does that make sense? A few of us (maybe more) have had some crappy home/families to deal with and being able to be a part of a group like this renews hope! heart Oh and in case I haven't said it enough, I freaking love you guys and am so thankful to be able to call you my friends! Heart

Glad you found codes hun!

Girl, I don't have a cute basketball tummy, I just look like I hit the buffet line too much! And the funny thing is, I've lost 15 pounds since I've gotten preggo! Too bad I need to lose 50 more to be normal! Embarrassment
Quote from Coach Girl :
Ariel- here is my pic! Big Grin
EEK! Come on, I can't be the only one who thinks its important to keep track of these preggo months with pics?!? Am I? Sadwalk

And SHUT UP! You do not look like a pig! Nono

I can guarantee you there is a doctor following her care. If she is in a insurance paid place, the doctor is required to see her once a month and the nurses are required to call the dr. with any changes in condition. When ppl live in these type of homes, the dr's make "house calls" to them, as to make it easier for the pt and staff. Also the dr and staff may have known this was coming, since they are the ones with her daily, well the staff at least. Also, when ppl are passing away, it is the nursing staff that keeps them comfortable, not the dr's. Nowadays a dr just examines and writes prescriptions. Most nursing homes are able to take care of a passing patient, in fact its a major part of their job, but it is nice to have hospice in there when available. I am sorry that this is happening to your hubby's grandma, but I just wanted to give you a little reassurance! hug heart

Thanks Ariel....I'm sure my hubby isn't getting the full story, and I hope his grandmother is comfortable...its not an insurance paid place, its a place you go to once you run out of insurance and have no money....thanks! heart hug

hug We're here for you! I am so sorry. Dh's mom passed in the hospital, but it was such a heartbreaking few hours from we knew she was going to pass before she passed. THey turned the hr equipment off, so we didn't know exactly when it happened, but just kept holding her hands and singing and talking to her. We are here if you need us. hug

Well I took a 2 hour nap and ate and I feel a little better! Smilie Just took my weekly pic. BLAH! I am 31 weeks today, so that means only 8 more weeks and I will be holding a new lil angel! I am kinda excited, but still willing to wait it out!
Wow, time flies!!! Can't wait for your new arrival!
Quote from mustoffa :
When dh asked the babe what she wanted to do today, she said, "I go libary with daddy." Um, so cute, especially since we hardly ever make it to the library. We asked her what she wanted to do there, she said, "I read books." I heart my kid.

Dh did our taxes during his time off this week, and for the first time in a few years, we get a refund!! That will come in handy when our crazy hospital bills come in a few months.

I don't know what I'd do without you guys. I love that you find all the great deals on SD during the day and share them here. Thank you so much.
I heart your kid too! So adorable!!
Yeah for the tax refund!
I don't know what I'd do without you guys either. hug

I really don't know what to say about all this generosity! I definitely feel unworthy! As you guys know, we have moved around alot in the last couple of years and it is nice to have steady friends online that I can talk to if I need to. I don't post alot of my business on fb but I do tell you guys. My whole family is humbled and grateful to all of you for being there for me emotionally and helping me save tons of money!!
