Good morning all! Ugh, it's about time for me to get moving. It's 8:00, DD is up getting ready for work, I have half a pot of coffee in me (and I'm working on the other half) and need to get working on that basement (good thing there is a bathroom down there!). I don't want to, but I want it done.

Hubby won't be home tonight. Now, normally, with him gone and me working on the basement all day, I would take this opportunity to have some DD bring home some completely worthless junk for dinner -- like Double Stuff Oreos. But, noooo ohhhh, I have to behave myself.

Last time I subscribed to Reader's Digest it was $6.xx for two years. I need to renew by May. If you happen to spot a super cheap deal, I would appreciate it if you would let me know.

I ran across this while I was looking and posted it in our diet group: Weight Watchers Magazine 1 Year, 6 Issues $3.95.

Try your food processor if you have one. Mine is the one that attaches to my Oster kitchen center and it's really small - much smaller than the average food processor. I have used it to shred beef and pork for barbeque or pulled pork sandwiches. I have to be very careful that I don't over do it. I think you could get it chopped down as well as a grinder.

I think I have tried most all of the tans and they all turned green, or red. I finally found Ben Moore Manchester Tan and I really like it. It's a perfect tan with no green or red or yellow undertones.
When you are trying to pick a color and are getting an undertone that you don't like, take a closer look at the paint formula. Take the tan with greenish tint, for instance, when you look at the "recipe" on the back of the card, match the tint letters to the pigment they use to mix it and make sure you pick a tan that doesn't have any green tint in it.

Good morning, everyone. I'm so mad at myself this morning - I filed our taxes yesterday, and apparently mistyped my son's social security number. It was rejected by the IRS and I had to correct and refile it this morning. Now it says they'll process the return manually - I have no idea how long it will take to get our refund now.

Hi wave I am thinking about getting the Target Debit Card but it sounds too good to be true... no annual fee, save 5%...Any of you have experience with the REDcard? I'd love to hear your feedback.
Quote from Dazzledby5 :
woot
I habe the REDcard, which is a credit card, no annual fee but the interest is like 30%. I also have the Target Debit Card, which is just linked directly to YOUR debit account at YOUR bank, with no fees, no anything, and you still save the 5% in the weird way they do it. I would say got for it, especially for the big ticket items, maybe not necessarily for the little coupon runs, ya know.
I have the REDcard, too. Since my oop is usually low, the 5% really isn't all that much. And just a warning too, there is no grace period on payments. Unlike other cards I have, when the amount due is the 3rd, they mean the 3rd. So Jan 3rd rolls around, and I realized with all the holiday commotion I haven't paid the bills yet. So I hop on line to pay. When I got my Feb bill this week, I noticed a $25 late charge and a $6.xx interest charge. My payment was posted on the 4th because I missed the cut-off (I'm west coast and the cut-off time is CST) by a few hours!!!!!

Needless to say, I called and asked for it to be reversed. At first she was just going to remove the interest. I asked about the late charge, she said they could credit my account $12. I asked again and got the "we don't normally do this.....one time courtesy....." but finally got the $25 reversed, too.

So, I'm guessing they are pushing these cards so hard because even though they pay back 5%, that's nothing compared to the fees they are raking in!!!!!

I'm dawdling. I should be in the basement working. If I don't return later today. Send help. Of course, if you just want to come help, that's fine too.

g'morning meanies! Wave

last nite went to see preview of *no strings attached* w/ natalie portman and ashton kutcher. heard people saying *it's a cute movie* after, however it is filled w/ extremely crude sexual references for shock value (morning sex reference for bunnies!). definitely not a first date movie Rofl2. it was a decent light movie w/ very little character development whatsoever. i barely understood who any of the supporting cast members were supposed to be.

i have to say that ashton kutcher looked pretty cute a few times during the movie. in general i think he looks like *the boy next door* and i don't see what all the fuss about his looks is about. natalie portman is tiny and has a great body.

i gotta be more productive so i'll be more lurking than posting, but i'll check in just so bunnies doesn't get mad at me Teehee! i do post almost every single day in the diet thread where we are all doing great over there! come on over and join us if it's something you want to work on. hope everyone has a great day!

Yes J is VERY supportive of my reading these kind of series. Laurell Hamiliton is heavy on the sexy scenes if you read. When I was working, I tried to time what book I was reading to when I was working or not. Doesn't make sense to read some of the 'good' ones when stuck at work and can't do anything about it!
Wink I'll have to check into LH for sure!!

right?? when I got to book 4, I had a dream that was so rocking and even better, I didn't wake up until he was finished. HOT. DAMN. Faint

Ok that's funny because i do this EVERY year and every year my dh just shakes his head at me when I happen upon gifts days, weeks or months later still sitting in it's hiding spot!

Mind you dd is 12 and it still happened this year. In fact, I have found shoes, necklace, earrings, bracelet, hairbow, 2 shirts and a hula hoop in the last few weeks!Big Grin

Good news is dd's bday is in Feb and I always feel like I have a head start at shopping when I find these things and I just build from there!
I'm still giggling at the thought of losing a hula hoop!! my lost toys are usually smaller than that like Wii games, etc. Coverlaugh

target clearance endcaps - but that is hit or miss.
amazon with freebie gcs but again if you don't have em right now that is not immediate.

so i would say the first two are your best bet.

i love british humor - it's my humor, wry and dry. but i can see how it is not everyone's cup of tea.

If you're a fast reader, then hold off on the Wheel of Time. The last book comes out at the end of the year, so you won't have to wait to find out the end. Sword of Truth is 11 books long, and is finished AFAIK. I also liked Buffy, and the earlier seasons of Angel. Started to lose interest around season 4. Did you know that Buffy lives on in graphic novels? Amazon sells them, and they are actually called Season 8. They're written by Joss Whedon, not fan fiction.

Ank, do you live in the land of Publix? There are PQ's for Ensure, and $3 peelies that make the six packs 1.99
No publix here. Frown They keep saying they are coming to our city, but nothing yet. That would be a great deal! Sadwalk

I heart Buffy/Angel. Angel season 5 was pretty interesting - better than season 4 I think.

That's pretty much how it works with all credit cards. They get you on the interest and fees. *most* folks don't have the ability or will to pay it off every month - and all it takes is missing something or being late one time to end up with higher interest and a ton of fees. I've even heard of folks who've been late on one card and found their rates raised on all their other cards because they now considered them "higher risk" of default.

There's also a set of 2 trilogies by Jacqueline Carey, the Kushiel series. Full of hot sex and fighting and a real story!

I am a fast reader, so I think I will take your advice and wait on that series! I am starting a new list of books on my phone, so I will have that in case I forget (which I always do!).
I have only ever seen a few episodes of Buffy and none of Angel! Hide I know my dh/friends have watched both, idk what I was doing that I didn't laugh out loud I will have to give them a try! I just downloaded the Jacqueline Carey series! I will give them a try soonish! I still have to finish the "Vampire Huntress Legend" series, then read the newest in the "Fever" series and then the newest "House of Night!" Then its on to Jacqueline Carey! I like hot sex, fighting and a real story to follow! nod

I filed ours yesterday too. I think I look over everything about 20 times just checking my numbers cause I am so afraid of screwing up on something simple. LOL...I did receive the email that they were accepted. AND the IRS schedule shows my refund deposit date as Jan. 28th. Now lets hope they are right! lol
Sorry about the manual process thing..uggh frustrating I know. Hopefully since you filed fairly early you will get it back quickly.
