Me too....dh's tax form thingy for his wages never comes until like the latest possible date they have to have it to us by. Just want to get it DONE.

Well we found a new microwave. Weren't really any on craigslist that would fit in our space....but went to Menards and they had some around $50 with $20 MIR so I didn't think that was too bad, especially since we had GC's for there!

We filed our taxes on the 12th, before the IRS even accepted them. How do you find out what date it's scheduled to be direct deposited? I used TaxAct online and it still just says "accepted."

I am not a pack rat. I hate clutter. My family gets irritated with me because I want to get rid of damn near everything. Yet, there are things I just seem to not be sure I want to ditch. No sentimental reason at all.

For instance -- I have a bunch of tablecloths. I have several but I will just keep the nicest 2 that fit my new table -- I will actually use them occasionally.

Then there is this whole pile... Haven't counted them recently, but I think I had 8 or 10 that fit a 6' banquet table, one round one, and maybe another one or two for 8' banquet table. They all match and are in fine condition -- no stains, tears, etc. Now, why in the hell would I need all these again? Yet, with that many that match, I hate to just get rid of them. Oh, did I mention they are gold? Confused

A small amount of progress has been made. I moved ~ 18 rolls of insulation into the shower and bathroom so I can move more crap into son's room so I can then move insulation back in there -- but not trapped behind crap. At least it's light. Hauled a few things out already.

ok, I'm not at home so I can't do a pic of my house ( I have a SW fan deck too, lol), but this is pretty much dead on how it looks on my wall, with the exception it appears lighter green during the day than in this pic:

Good morning, everyone. I'm so mad at myself this morning - I filed our taxes yesterday, and apparently mistyped my son's social security number. It was rejected by the IRS and I had to correct and refile it this morning. Now it says they'll process the return manually - I have no idea how long it will take to get our refund now.
This happened to me too a couple of years ago. It was only a hiccup, didn't delay it really.

had a coffee and a tea, nothing working.. retail therapy would help, but worried about messing up the husband Frown
So wait, You are having remorse for -'doing on to another - how that other did upon you?' People tell people how to treat them but their words and actions. I think you just told her not to talk to you like that anymore. I would wait and see if she treats you differently first, then apologize.

TaxAct won't even let me file yet, as they are waiting on the new forms for something or other business related.

These are great. One of our nephews was born 10 days before Cole. It's so fun to look back at pictures of the two of them side by side through the years.

Ahhhh... you sound like me. My motto is "when in doubt, throw it out". And I mean that about EVERYTHING. laugh out loud I'm doing a de-clutter challenge with 2 of my friends. Each month it's a different room and you have to go through EVERY cabinet and drawer and get rid of anything you won't/aren't using. January was the kitchen and even though I keep it pretty clutter free I still had a ton of stuff to purge. Next month is Cole's room. I'm itching to get in his closet but I need to find some boxes for his old clothes first.

OMG wow, that is awesome about your sister!!! It is supposed to be like -12 tonight....oh heck, maybe that is what it's supposed to be during the day here tomorrow Teehee A cruise in warm weather sounds EXCELLENT right about now!!

Stuff definitely ends up in worse condition around here when dh messes w/it....and the worst part is that *he* thinks it's 'fixed' when it's not *my* definition of fixed, and then he sees no reason to need a new one Facepalm Luckily w/the microwave he couldn't find the part at the home improvement store and then I found the cheap microwaves right about that time so it worked to my advantage.

Yeah I think Jan. 31st is the date they have to mail w2's by....we usually get his around that time. I don't know that we have our mortgage interest one yet either but I'd expect that any day now.

I don't get a monthly statement though. Frown My property taxes are paid thru my mortgage and my mortgage only sends us out coupon things every year to send in with payments, but I pay it all online. I usually get the official forms from each place seperately, but I am impatient this year! I was able to check my student loan stuff online, but not my actual back statements (for the interest I earned). UGH, can't it all get here today! Stick Out Tongue
I just wanna see how much we will be getting back (Pray that we do get some back!) so that I can figure that into the paying off of our bed and the costs of having this little angel (which is going to be pricey!). laugh out loud
J wants to spend the money on "fun stuff" but I always pay off debit before fun, so that is not happening! laugh out loud

Discovery Network called DH yesterday. They are doing a one hour program about Steven's disappearance. They wanted to interview us and to film our house. DH told them there is no way he is would interview on camera. (He is to self conscious, when ESPN was filming the UROC Rock Crawling series he wouldn't let them film him. Their camera guys tried for over a week to get him on film but in the end they caught one shot of him walking past and then his hand as he put it over the camera. lol) The producers assistant told him they would make it worth our while for a few shots of the house, like $100.00 bucks, lol! DH told her we live almost 300 miles away, that is not worth our while! So she is going to talk to the producer they are filming in the area where our house is next week. Interviewing people and neighbors that Steven knew and places he went. DH told the assistant that he would probably be able to arrange for his brother who lives down there to meet them at the house and he could let them in so they could get their shots. Will be very interesting to watch the program though, at least for us. I hope and pray that Steve is ok and still alive somewhere.

Hey guys! Thanks for the input as to my ailment. I think it's muscular and not internal, but I'm feeling LOTS better now, so we'll see. If it hurts again tonight then I'm going to see the dr. tomorrow. GG - can you believe I have a while closet full of those Therma-whatevers from Publix a while back and I never even thought to use one last night. Duh. Thanks for the reminder.

In other news... it's a big day here at the m2c house... the offer we made on a lot at the beach has been accepted. DH called me this morning while I was at T and I almost started sobbing. I'm just so excited for our family.
My back pain got so bad I ended up not being able to move and was bed bound for a few days. When I finally got to the Dr and after a cscan to make sure it was nothing serious it was determined that I needed to stop carrying the baby. At least to make sure to stop once I felt the first strain or pain starting to bother me. It worked and I have not had a back attack since. With my first two babies I was younger and toted them and their car seats all over the place and never had a problem. Now almost 40 and I can not do that any more, I had no idea until my body rebelled, it was like ohnoyouaintdoingthattomemissyyouwillstayinbednow!!!

Awesome news about the house!! :bounce: It doesn't matter that you are a little off the beach, you are by the beach, it is my dream come true!!! I just LOVE being near the ocean.

Thanks guys. I had more multi-quoted, but I don't know what happened to them. The lot is not right on the ocean, I mean, we didn't win the lottery. It will be less than a mile from our doorstep to the water, less than a mile from our house to TARGET, a block from an awesome park, and less than half a mile from the great elementary school that the kids will go to. It has a little something for everyone. :teehee: I'm super excited. We won't begin construction until our house actually sells, but at least once that happens we'll be ready to go with plans and a lot. My best friend's dad does custom homes up in Indiana and she's already emailed me a list of questions about the lot size and size of the house we want and stuff like that. She's going to pull some plans for me to start looking at. We told DS tonight about the eventual move. He had 2 questions: 1. can he take all his stuff and 2. can his new room be painted purple.
With less than a mile to the water it is perfect, a nice walk and some exercise on the way to the beach, sounds perfect to me. To cute he wants a purple room, my sister did her room in such a dark purple once it took 8 coats of paint to cover it.

Thank you so much meesh. We're all so relieved that the dx was not as devastating as it was thought it would be. Looks like we dodged another bullet here. There is a doctor at the University Medical Center that specialized in bone diseases and she will see him Friday and I'm sure he'll be able to answer all the questions we have.

I was so happy they had all the colors. I had asked a clerk at the hospital if she knew the colors and she said 'no, but I know it's SW", so I just went to the closest SW and as luck would have it I found it.

Window treatments are hard for me too. I never seem to like them and more often than not, just use the wood blinds. I have a thought going through my head on something I'd like to do with my 'sitting room' (ie, very small front LR, or parlor), but would involve sewing which I'm not so good at.
Bone disease still sounds scary but not as bad as it could have been. Still praying the Dr will be inspired to find the right diagnosis and that it is not serious. When we moved into this house there were blinds in all the windows and curtains on them too. The curtains were home made and way to flowery and ugly. We took them down and it felt so bare I kept wanting to put something up but now I think I like the simplicity of just the blinds.

I woke up feeling ambitious, then ended up scrubbing the leather sectional for oh about 2 hours. Ugh! DS was pooping and was standing on the couch saying "GO AWAY GO AWAY" He freaks out if you go near him while he is doing the deed so I figure I will hurry and get dressed, grab a new diaper and take care of him. Um yeah he decided to take off his own diaper. At least it was all on the couch which is easier to clean than the carpet. But good holy stinking up the whole house batman mess!!! He was coved in poo too, put him in the tub and cleaned up most of it, got him all cleaned up, spent lots of time cleaning and re-cleaning the couch. It finally smells good in the house again and the washer is going and the kid is clean. Whew, not feeling so ambitious, a little  though.

You can't get rid of them because as soon as you do either you or someone else will need those table cloths. It happens to me every time I think there is no way I will possibly need this item again so I donate it and bam a week or a few months and I regret it because I do need it again or someone I know. lol Sounds like you are getting a lot done this am. I guess I better get a few more coupons printed and get something else done.

Poor DS he is the one who is super sick now that his dad and two sisters are feeling better. I just hope I don't catch this horrible funk. I better go eat my garlic and vitamins and tea.
