Both of my boys trained at home with me turning them around to sit and face backwards on the potty. It lets them hang onto the lid and they can't possibly fall in. You can throw a few cheerios in the potty too for "point and shoot" practice! :lo l: I also let them kneel on the seat when they were too short. Standing on the stool didn't work for them because they felt too wobbly. And hang in there! It will probably all come together for him when you least expect it! :hu g:
Those are some great ideas. I knew boys were harder than girls to potty train but it was just an abstract idea up until recently I really had no clue.

I was going to say benydril but it's been mentioned, hope you figure out what it was. But I must tell you the exact same thing has happened to my SIL twice! Covered in hives nearly head to toe, ER visits both time, and they have never figured it out. The hive/allergy attacks were 2 years apart too, once when she lived in CA and the most recent they live in UT. Dontknow Weird!

My DD loved the princess barbie doll set that I got with that princess TQ a few months ago. We had put it in the attic and today when it was time for her birthday gift, we wrapped the dolls and a bucket of trio blocks.. she had the best time : ) DD made her a cake and frosted it white, and then wrote her name in pink with pink flowers and we had a few disney princess things from the one spot clearance and put them on the cake.. Didn't really notice til the cake was cut, that my DD made the birthday cake with the Christmas clearance funfetti cake mix.. Princess cake with red and green in the middle.. It truly was a slick deals birthday!

Just put my DD to bed cause she was playing for so long.. My and DH were talking about some bills, and my daughter yelled out from her room "be quiet everyone, I am trying to rest' laugh out loud gotta love that kid!

No shopping today.. Hoping to hit T tomorrow !
Sounds like a awesome birthday! I am using the one box of Funfetti for DS birthday cake next weekend. We were going to this weekend but everybody is still to sick. DS keeps getting super high fevers and his cough is horrible. He keeps us up all. night. long. Sleepy2 And now I have a sore throat EEK!

I hate moving. I hate moving. Comcast can suck a nut. They want over 400.00 to hook up cable/internet/phone at our new house. Are they absolutely INSANE?
That is insane! I hate Comcast, we have them now. We switched from DirecTV and I want to go back. I think there are a lot of things about DirecTV that is way better than Comcast.

It is my DH Birthday today!! I better get myself out the door! I ordered him a ice cream cake & I gotta make a quick (ya right) T run for more cheese sticks, garnier, and something good to make him for dinner tonight and also something for sunday dinner, I wish/hope/pray there will be a roast that doesn't cost a arm and a leg, may just have to stick to chicken.

Since he likes to use the potty as a snack bowl, I am not sure about having him pee on cheerios. :lo l: I have seen little floating targets you can buy though.

I know one thing to NOT do when potty training a boy - when they are learning to do the standing thing - Don't talk to them from behind - because they TURN around to speak to you - peeing the whole way around...

Nikayla - since he goes to the shower to pee - that is a sign that he is being potty trained. Not quite the potty you want - but he knows he has to go, and goes where he thinks he should go to do it. The only problem is that it is the wrong place - but he is "trained" so to speak - or training.

But if you are grossed out because he wants to eat out of his potty insert - imagine how grossed out he is that you want him to poop in his snack bowl. :lo l:

Apparently, he has already put it into the category of something to eat out of - so changing that perception will probably be pretty hard.

Your idea of videos might be helpful though - if he can keep seeing what he is supposed to be doing with it - it might sink in.

OMG! This one is a HOOT!
HERE [youtube.com]
Thank you, great advice! I think you saved me from being peed on I can totally see myself talking to him while he is trying to pee. Roll LMFAO at the video esp when it got to the dancing poo... LOL!!!!! He is so funny when he pees in the shower he juts his hips out and stares at his stream ... lol.

Quote from BeKind2Others :
:tee hee: Totally know what you mean! Oldest ds was 2 1/2 when little bro was born. I couldn't take looking at his big old boodie compared to my newborn and really stepped up the potty-training then! :tee hee:

Oh, and if you haven't tried this yet, try good-old-fashioned bribery! Totally works with my youngest (oldest is too "smart" for it and resents it actually). M&m's, a toy, a book, a cookie, special time with mommy or daddy... anything that is scarce and desired by your little guy.

I also never did the small potty for my guys because cleaning that thing out would have made me :vom it:. I bought the baby bjorn potty seat because it had the molded lip on the front to keep everything down where it belongs :tee hee:, and they started right out on the big potty for pooping. Maybe you can find just the right book to keep them there sitting long enough for nature to take its course! (using afore-mentioned bribery to get them on the potty in the first place of course!) Then he can keep his little potty as his snack-bowl! Oh, and I do hope you've gotten pictures of him eating out of that potty so you can seriously embarrass him later in life!

If you do try the cheerios in the big potty, make sure you really turn it into a game! e.g. Keep score for every cheerio he dunks!
Great idea! Yeah the infant poo is nothing compared to 2 or 3 yr old poo, just nastieness and vomit !!
Quote from gt6mk31 :
Good morning all. We are a sad bunch. We have contact allergies, colds, flus, back pain, serious eye problems, and a kid that eats out of the toilet.:lo l: Then there are the coffee addicts and the hungry dieters.

*snip And when they are sitting, it's apt to squirt right out that little gap between the toilet and the seat. This is where the words "hold it down" come in handy.
Roll My new catch phrase.. Hold it down! Hold it down! lmao!

Well, I called DirecTV and they pissed me off. Maybe I should have sucked it up. Problem is, they don't offer internet through DirecTV as a bundle with them. I'd still have to go through comcast for my internet. Ugh.

Ya I remember they pissed us off about something too, probably the internet. It was a few years ago. I think the internet is the ONLY reason we are still with Comcast. Just hoping someting cheap will come along for the net and we can switch back to DTV. The main thing I like about DTV is they have the most room on the Tivo TV show recorder thing. Comcast is so small and pathetic, with what the kids want recorded, DH and me there is NOT enough room to also have all the movies or whatnot recorded too.

I know...thats what dh said...I did google it and it said that adults can safely take 25-50 mg. I took two 25 mg tablets, so I should be ok...hopefully. Starting to kick in again...off to sleep. Wish me luck.
Yeah, we do give 50 mg sometimes to those who need it.. Personally, I can hardly handle 25mg, but some people handle 50 mg and don't even get sleepy EEK!

Somehow I have developed a severe case of hives. I am absolutely miserable. Went to Urgent Care today and the Phys. Assistant says she thinks it is a severe allergic reaction to something. The only thing that I can think of that I have used different is body wash. I used some body wash from Avon that someone at work gave me as an Xmas present...no clue why I would do this when I have an abundance of Olay, Softsoap, etc.
Anyway, this sucks. I am miserable and I just want it to go away.
I have a script for Prednisone and I just took an oatmeal bath. Getting ready to take some Benadryl and pass out. Any other suggestions?
..........
Oh take care hug Trader joes sells some nice aloe gel, it is really soothing, I have use it for a while when i had cholestatis (itching mom's syndrome).. and the reviews for this on the net is very nice.
Quote from getgreen09 :
tracy... benadryl will help.
but for topical relief... do you have any aloe gel at home? if not walgreens carries it, in tubes and bottles. get the clear white gel, not the clear green gel. the white one has no fragrances or dyes.
other stores carry it too.
put the aloe gel on the hives and put the rest of it in the fridge so the gel is chilled for use tomorrow. the chilled gel reduces any swelling/irritation, and moisturizes skin.

also, drink lots of water to flush the offending chemical out of your system. and i mean LOTS.
hugheartyou. Are you posting in any threads other than here btw???

We are having Verizon fios, service is excellent so is their internet speed. They have offers like $99 for internet, cable and phone, for 12 months, after that period change the service to the other adult in the family, so it works for another one year. it is our second year with them...

Hives are still here, but not nearly as itchy! The Prednisone must be starting to work. Thank goodness. I think I am still a little groggy from the Benadryl though.ZzZZz I just hope the itching stays away!

In between two basketball games, I hit 2 Targets, 2 good runs. bouncebounce Wish I would have had time to do a few more runs. Funny how life often interferes with my shopping. laugh out loud

More snow is supposed to be coming tonight. So sick of all this dang snow.

Is there something funky about the Air Wick B1G1 coupons (they're 14s)? Both times I used them in the last couple of weeks, they don't deduct anything. I used other B1G1 coupons & they worked fine. I added up my receipt to make sure they didn't deduct & just not show up, but that's not it. They aren't doing anything. The cashier was scanning along at a good clip, & I did not see any problems on the screen.Dontknow I'm guessing it's something odd about the coupons since this has happened twice in a row.
