I am with you --- it REALLY irks me when someone comes into a thread and asks others to give them all the good deals because they just haven't had time to read. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) There are a LOT of days I don't have time, energy, mental capacity, patience, just too much going on to read every single post and I JUST DO IT ANYWAY!!! And on the rare occasion that I have something so horrendous happen that I can't keep up I count my losses and jump back in. If everybody was doing that in there it'd be a mess!!!

OK, that's my 2 cents......Teehee

We just got back from T. The lady in front of me was using coupons (nothing spectacular) and telling the cashier all about Totally Target Roll Aye.

Cashier was fairly good but I had a .50 off any 2 Ortega products in my q's and was buying a box of hard shells (had a tq from a mailer for those) + one packet of seasoning and the q beeped for some reason. I'm guessing just not coded properly or something.....anyway, cashier tries to tell me it has to be what's pictured Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) I wanted to tell her to go to that TT blog and you can read all about how you go by the WORDS on the q, not the pics...but I resisted and she reluctantly believed me. It just kills me that they want to worry about a .50 mq for absolutely legit items but of course Goodlife cat food q's went through fine and gave overage, etc. shake head

wave I actually got several of the good papers today. Yay! Ran a couple errands and managed to spend $100+ at the grocery store. I did do one sort of fun thing -- I bought a grab bag at the grocery store. OK, yes, I know, if that's fun, then I must be pathetic. Wanna see what I got for $1.99? Too bad, posting anyway.

3 cans of peaches
2 cans Hunt's Spaghetti sauce
2 bottles iced tea (16 oz. I think)
2 packets of instant oatmeal
4 packets of PopTarts - One is S'mores, No idea what the other 3 are
1 tube of Crest toothpaste (this one made me laugh)
1 box Hamburger Helper

You won't have to pay them anything out of your pocket, but the value of the policy will be reduced by what he owes. I don't think they will let you borrow more than the benefit amount. You don't have to pay anyone's debts even if you are the beneficiary of their life insurance policy. Now, if their is an estate and the estate is the beneficiary of the policy, then the money goes to the estate, all bills and debts are paid, then the remainder goes to the heirs.

Don't you realize that she has a life and stuff going on?!

Only thing was..she forgot to ask where to find the MQ's.

When she does..all of you are commanded here fourth to grab the silver spoons and feed until she says that she is full. All those not obliging my command shall suffer at the hand of the bunnies!

I also bought a couple of the Philadelphia Cooking Creams to try. I got Sante Fe and Savory Garlic. It also comes in Italian Cheese & Herb and Original. I had never seen them before. They were $2.50 each.

TM4D -- HyVee had them in a little bunker in the meat department. They also had some $1 coupons and a little recipe book. Two different things, the coupon is not in the recipe book. They were not out, the meat lady gave them to me. But the bunker even had signs on the sides and I guess they demoed these the other day, so they should have them. Unless SC got them all.

Hey all! I checked my T today, no baby gear at 75% off yet, but they did mark down some new clothes. Oh well, I didn't really need anything anyway. Smilie

I did errands the whole time Soph was in school and I didn't pack myself a snack, so I was starving! I ended up coming home and scarfing down a burrito and now I am eating Honey Mustard and Onion pretzels and drinking a root beer float! Yummy!

What can you make with these?

SC probably threw something at the demo lady and had her 'sister' grab the coupons. Other sister was screaming 'start the car, start the car' (Ikea commercial)....

Morning. Not a good morning, but morning none the less. (I got a print job stuck in my printer, and the printer wouldn't delete it, so I've already totally uninstalled and reinstalled my printer this morning... at least I'm printing again, so that's better than where I was).

TCC Waggers opinions please. Did you like the type out of the ad with some matchups or not? Be truthful with me. I don't mind typing it up, but I was surprised that very few folks added Qs. I'm used to seeing the entire ad in the Publix and Kroger ad. Without the matchups and folks posting 1000 posts a week, it is difficult to see what ELSE in the ad is a decent deal (besides RRs) to help spend your RRs (and not just roll them for products you don't need or want). PM me if you don't want to post here.
oops, sorry, I didn't even look at it, just thought I had remembered it being a MQ Embarrassment

Some of the Ortega products aren't coded properly, and some probably have the short barcodes, which will always make the MQs beep at T. At least that's been my experience.

Teehee Forgot to mention I SAW her Friday when Hy-Vee was having the 12-hr. sale....cart didn't look too bad.....who knows that was probably her 4th cart by the time I got there. I don't know that she saw me....I just kept right on a'walkin'. I was in way too much of a hurry that day for a confrontation laugh out loud

I figured as much w/the Ortega. It seems like we are usually buying Old El Paso since there are better q's so I'm not as familiar with Ortega and didn't think to check.

I am going to picture everyone to death Love my new phone. This was a couple of weeks ago. Forgot to check today. TPC is over and regular price was $3.79.
a picture is really worth a thousand words. i absolutely love when people post pics so i know exactly what to look for. that's one good thing about that perimeter perusal thread, lots of pics. they just don't have enough people over there to really be on top of the deals and they mainly do just clearance. sd is still better.

Quote from getgreen09 :
ALL... i have never tried it though I know friends who use it. we used to use cheer. like the smell etc, though it never goes on sale. but then read that tide and cheer (along with a bunch of other conventional detergents) have high concentrations of a byproduct chemical known to damage liver, kidneys and nervous system, and suspected to be a carcinogen in humans because it is in animals. and it is watersoluble. EEK!

so i decided to finish up what i had and switch. we've started using method and like it. but i might try an even greener route. we'll see. atleast method is safer than what we were using before and there are coupons and sales. so i feel good about that.
sigh! my usable product list is growing smaller. i'm already allergic to more than 90% of the shampoos and conditioners on the market and probably 50% of the liquid soaps and body washes b/c of the preservative they use. now i gotta go look for carcinogens. argh! and of course the good stuff is more expensive...

Quote from gt6mk31 :
Not that this had much to do with the garden pasta, but Ronzoni Smart Taste is the only kind of spaghetti I buy now. Got a bunch free and I've gotten some cheap since, but if I had to, I would actually pay for it. Doesn't clump or get mushy or slimy like some does.
i got that too b/c dh didn't like the whole wheat kind and like a child threatened to go buy his own food which means mcd's or chinese takeout. he couldn't go get subways or something healthy b/c he's rebelling. so i fake him out by buying whole wheat white bread, ronzoni smart taste and garden delight Teehee!

why can't he just say, *honey, i really don't like this pasta. i know you are trying for us to eat healthier. just not this pasta.*

i know it's just his mindset that healthy doesn't taste good. bff is same way. but ever since she started weight watchers her thinking has totally changed and she is no longer resistant. yesterday she said- did you know the cream cheese you gave me was neuftchatel? me- yes, that's what they call low-fat cream cheese for some reason but it is cream cheese. bff- it was delicious! do you have any more? same person refused to eat it last xmas when i invited her over for brunch. everything she buys normally has to be full fat or she won't even try it.

the thread moves so fast i wouldn't worry about it too much. already new controversy by one of us Teehee!

Quote from Nikayla :
Slowtech, I too have more of a issue with salty snacks than sweet. Most of the time, I do LOVE chocolate. They need to make popcorn flavored gum or something lol! I love those popcorn flavored Jelly Bellys, even though they are a bit to sweet. I usually don't buy very many chips or salty snacks I love because I know I will most likely eat all of it.

I try to remember to brush my teeth after dinner, that helps with late night snacking because my mouth feels clean and ready for bed. If I eat I have to go through the whole process again, brushing, flossing, rinse.

The one chips I do almost always have in the cupboard are Tostitos Lime Tortilla chips so when I get the urge for crunchy chips I eat those and put as much salsa on the chip and will stay on. I figure the salsa is way more healthy than the tortilla and I will get full faster with lots of veggies so I fill a small cereal bowl about the size of the small Dixie paper bowl totally full of salsa and eat it all with a few tortillas as possible. lol Dontknow I think it helps. I haven't been gaining weight but I would still like to lose 10 pounds and I will be pre baby weight.

I wanted to buy some chips SO BAD last night when I went to get some papers. I looked at them for a while looking for peelies but then I did not buy any. I had a roast in the crock pot and we were eating dinner as soon as I got back. I did find a few peelies on the HUGE multipack of Fritos brand, $1 off.
yes, i've been thinking of brushing so i won't eat any more but i've been very bad and don't just in case i want to eat. need more willpower!

i've been eating cheese w/ my crackers to get calcium for bones and they say calcium binds w/ fat so you won't digest it. anybody see that show where they had some people eat lots of dairy products and then processed their waste to show how much more fat they excreted?

salsa would be good to add to my repertoire. the big problem is finishing the container. i had problems eating all the pace last time. i even made the chicken w/ salsa and cheddar, gave my friend a couple jars and her kids loved it.

Quote from Nikayla :
I hope they delete that one too but...
I think something does not sound right, I think maybe the poster was exaggerating and how stupid was the cashier if they got NO kitchen essentials but used a tun of those TQs. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) I mean I have had cat scanners before but I would suspect even one of them would notice 25 or so expired kitchen Qs in a single transaction. To go from $650 to low oop then ad 4 Tvisa for either $50 or $100 and hand over more Qs which would be OBVIOUS at that point that they had no items for the Qs and were using them to pay for the Visa and go back to a low OOP? In my experience even a cat scanner will get a little nervous if you have to many K1s and from the sound of the OP every single coupon would have needed a K1, that is A LOT of k1s!! I smell fish, and/or really huge idiots for guest and cashier both. Not that I haven't seen idiot guest and cashier before lol.

This was their post today in deals:
[QUOTE =ilo ve pun ch;36 646 493]Thanks for the replies. I deleted for obvious reasons. The Qs were legit at one point. I know that some stores allow expired Qs, but mine doesn't. Besides that the items purchased were not the items that were on the Qs. I don't "police" other shoppers, but I do try to live as a positive role model for my children. My oldest (12) watched extreme couponing with me and he was the first one who saw her total subtracting like crazy. Right or wrong, I felt like I was witnessing someone steal and that is why I decided to let the manager know that something looked wrong.[ /QU OTE]
it sounds like there may have been some funny business going on. internal theft is a huge problem, actually bigger than shoplifting and rampant. after i was transferred to another store, i heard one of the salespeople was ringing up socks for her friends and they were walking out w/ jeans. i literally caught a well-liked employee w/ his pants down about to pull it over a pair of shorts w/ the tag hanging off in the back of the stockroom. the loss prevention mgr was po'd at me b/c i asked my dm what to do and he said just fire him. loss prevention liked to have them arrested and taken out in cuffs to set an example.

Quote from Dazzledby5 :
On the subject of parents and insurance, My MIL doesn't have anything. I have told her repeatedly that I need her to get a small $5k policy that will at least take care of all the debt and funeral arrangements that will end up coming out of my pocket. I told just last week or so that if she did not have anything inplace when she died we are donating her to science - no joke. Now my FIL, has borrowed against his crappy whole life policy time and time again IDK if WE will actually have to pay them when he dies. Obviously they are both jackasses but my kids love them unconditionally so I keep putting up with their shit over and over.
she will probably never do it. you should consider taking out a life insurance policy on her and paying the premiums yourself. as long as the policy is in force, you will always get more than you paid into the policy unless they live to 100 and then you just get your money back. same goes w/ the loans. they just deduct the loan amt from the face value and give you what's left. as long as you are the beneficiary, nobody can make a claim against it.

Ortega's have always been a PITA for the SIL at HT due to the Q not matching 99% of the Ortega items.

I'm sorry about your Grandpa. Remember his life and what he means to you and not his death.

Yep. I watched that on CNN one friday night. It was scary but Scratchchin interesting at the same time

Speaking of being a bitch Wave It was me in October!
I can admit to this now. Angel Not right around Halloween someone went off about her rep about the Baltimore Sum (should have been Sun). I repped that I'd never heard of such a paper and could have been the Sun (I thought she'd catch her typo)? She posted she had all this tons and tons and tons to do, but she had time to type out a snotty reply about my rep (I'm sorry, but if she had that much to do, why was she sitting on her butt typing and reading on SD?)

I would like to say....

I'm super busy with my life and because I know you all don't have a life..and even if you do, well mine is more important..so I need to know what are the great deals and where are the coupons?

Also you may all take turns with clipping my coupons and going shopping for me. I prefer brown bagged over plastic.

I will determine who goes first based upon the level of your meaninglessness in your life.
